I will NOT be buying a new Gladiator BECAUSE of the screen. I know I am in the minority but I have no use for giant screens. I keep my stuff a long time. The old 8.4 can be replaced with an aftermarket something (and no I don't mean one of the ones that is bigger) I mean a 300.00 or less Kenwood or Alpine. Screen size is not relevant to me. I also don't like the vents getting lowered to accommodate the big screen. And yes, I am old and grumpy! I was born 50 years old.
I also don't care about all of the safety features. One of the reasons I ordered the one have is that all of the ones on the lot had the extra stuff.
(i wouldn't have gotten the 8.4 with Alpine if it didn't come with the Rubicon in '22)

Been driving a 24 Wangler Sahara as a rental (my Gladiator got T-boned by an 18yo with no lic.) and the upgrades on the interior look nice but hinder some function. They've added side curtain airbags into the roll cage so the handles everyone likes to put on can't be used. Also, the added length to the screen makes it hard to figure out where to mount a phone holder. Also, they've taken away the tray on the top of the dash, If the cup holders are being used, there is absolutely nowhere to put anything.

Reminds me of all the TJ owners that said the JK was too high tech and same of JK owners when the JL launched.

They either died off or slowly assimilated into the next thing because change really was not that scary after all.

I saw some chat here about wireless CarPlay. Is older Gladiator owners can get wireless CarPlay by simply buying an adapter that plugs into the usb port from Amazon. I use one without issue but I mostly plug in anyway to charge.

I am not afraid of it being too complicated. I just don't want any of it. The OEM stereo is garbage and the new one can't be replaced. I really don't want the vents lower. It isn't about complicated, it's about the way I use a vehicle. When I replace our current Impala it will be with something 1988 or older. Just a preference. I make my living with tech, so I am not afraid of change. Just feel that most new vehicles are about bling and not about actually being better.
And I am serious about not buying another one. I wil not be buying one newer than a 23. I still have my XJ because it is by miles the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned and it will out wheel the Gladiator in every situation. The Gladiator has the advantage of riding better, being useful as a truck, and it gets better gas mileage. The XJ is still a better Jeep. It's about preference. I don't care about or need a bunch of added stuff in my vehicles.

I tried about 10 different variations of those in my 2020 Wrangler and all were horribly slow and unreliable. Glad you have one that works for you.

I have tried two and both were busts for me because the USB stays "hot" with the vehicle off, making the wireless Car Play/Android Auto adapter always ready to connect. I'd be sitting in my living room trying to use WiFi on my phone and the damned thing would always auto-connect to the adapter in the Jeep instead. It is a total deal breaker and I haven't used it again for months.

I upgraded to a '24 because my '23 Wrangler basically left me stranded in Vegas and I live in St George. So I decided to trade for a '24 Mojave. This truck is better than my Wrangler was in almost every way except a few things like the back up camera/screen sucks especially at night. I have no idea how it's different. The bigger screen and its features are not intuitive like my 7" screen was. I will figure out things as I get more familiar with it, but the Mojave rides better and shifts better. The e-torque was clunky, but got better mpg by a large margin over this first tank of gas on the Mojave. I agree that mounting a phone is a little more difficult and I am trying an Off Roam and hope it works out. I agree about the side airbags, but because I have hit my head on them a couple times. The interior is way nicer in my '24 though. Having a rear locker is awesome. Having AUX buttons will be beneficial. I had my Wrangler interior dialed in and the Gladiator lacks a lot of storage options, but I just paired down what I carry now. I scored a great deal on the Mojave because the dealership ate my negative equity of close to $7K and I still got $17K off the Mojave. It was a good time for my Wrangler to have problems and a great time to buy a Gladiator.

Is this standard on all models? Do you have the technology package w/ navigation?

I've been on the fence with the refresh... What's your all's thoughts? I've got a 22 sport max tow that I've been super tempted to upgrade into a Rubicon or Mojave. .. got to say though the refresh is what's holding me back though. Seams like they only added even more complexity to an already complex vehicle. .. ... Any of you 24+ owners love the new features?
I dislike technology very much , I purchased a 2024 Rubicon X, August 24 and another gladiator Rubicon yesterday 2024, loaded with all the mods NOW in hate technology, but I have both and have a Hers and a ours!
YES I like the 2024 pricing 10K off the first on and 13k off MSRP on the second .

Mister lamb.

I have a mojave x 2024. All the options.

I think every 2024 has this because it's part of that wifi hotspot. Even if you don't pay for the hotspot they are using the network to track the truck.

I was one of those TJ owners. When the JK first came into production 2007-2011, to me it looked like a cartoon Jeep. Not going to discuss the anemic motor, but the dash layout was terrible. I do recall thinking the "spartan" Jeep was gone and we had to get on board with all the new safety requirements that was becoming mandatory if we wanted a new Jeep. I reluctantly bought a 2013 JKR and it gave me 65K good miles, but still never liked the looks of it. I do feel the 2018/19 JL was a huge improvement over the JK though. I guess I assimilated.

Looking at what's included in the Technology package I'm starting to think it's only with trucks optioned with it.

Jeep Gladiator Not upgrading due to 24 refresh? IMG_2932

Being that these are listed in the package you would think trucks without the option lack these "features"
