Weird question I guess, but as I was putting in my new sliders today I had to pull the body mount bolts out and obviously they have a decent amount of loctite on them..
This question is really only applicable to those of us that have to deal with salt and rust, but I tend to put never seize on...
Drove down to PA this past weekend and bought some Rockhard sliders from @Climbhigh (nice meeting you!).
Got a chance this afternoon in between conference calls to put them in, very happy with the look. These things are stout.
Now I have the holes in my flaps from the factory sliders... May...
It looks like all of these lights have 2 lights on them, but I'm only seeing the rounded one light up. Any idea when/if the square light is supposed to come on?
Excellent writeup, I've wanted to do something like this for a while, but I hadn't bothered looking into it.
You saved me a bunch of research lol!
I think I'm also going to do this for under my seat deletes in the rear.
I ended up with this light: 68297172AA
It was only about $13. I have...
I just pulled my Mojave plastic bumper to install my new bumper and I'm looking to see if anyone wants it (free).
I pulled the fog lights, harness and my orange tow hooks, but otherwise the bumper is complete.
I do have the red tow hooks that came with the MP Concepts bumper that I will...
Semantics I guess, yes it's directly under the Fuse box but you aren't getting it out without pulling the main battery which is why I said "basically" under the battery and that you need to pull the Fuse box....
If you have the 3.6 it's basically under the main battery.
You can get to through the fender or from the top. Through the top requires pulling the Fuse box, which isn't too bad.
Supposedly going through the fender is easier, but I haven't done it personally.
If it is really dead, you won't...
I'm confused about this; you can definitely start the truck with the hood open, you just can't use remote start with the hood open.
I've had to jump my truck many times with my NOCO jump pack and the hood is always open when I start it.
The beam tech led bulbs I put in a while ago work well, they have hi/lo.
That being said I decided to order the new Diode Dynamic headlights.

I went with the max the get the off...
No problem posting those links.
Definitely looks like a solid product. I really like how they do the lid, seems a lot more useful than the smaller hatches that goose gear has.
NVM, I just noticed the logo on the side. I hadn't heard of them before, but I kind of like the setup better than the goose gear..
Just as pricey though!
Lol, I hear you on the loctite.. I had 2 bolts I couldn't use my impact on and they took a long time to get out. What a pain..
Is this platform something you made? Looks good either way.
I don't think the harness would be there, or least not all of it.
I would just use the T harness from the 12v socket:

That avoids cutting into your factory harness.
This is one thing I forgot to mention, I also picked up the upgraded spout because the ones that come on the Wavian are difficult to use on the vehicle and tend to leak in my experience.
This was well worth the price and works well...
I forgot I read through that thread lol regarding your preference for Agm...
Either way, I'm not sure why in cab would preclude upgrading to Lithium? Obviously the charger would be different (the renogy I have can change between agm and Lithium for the aux battery with a push of a button, the...
I decided I wanted all my aux electronics/battery to be protected in the cab and I didn't want to have it in the bed taking up space when I wasn't camping.
If you aren't doing a seat delete the answer might be more difficult, but I have no use for the rear seat in my case.
You should also...
Yeah, being developed in SA probably didn't lead to much winter testing lol, but I definitely wish those covers were included for how much these things cost.
The graphite lube was a game changer for using the locks day to day, but I haven't seen any improvement in the winter.
I carry my dewalt...
