  1. Loctite vs never seize

Out of curiosity, where did you source your bolts? I was looking at McMaster, but I don't think they have anything with long enough threads.
  2. New York Sold: Free - 2021 Mojave factory sliders

I just pulled my Mojave factory sliders to install my new ones and I'm looking to see if anyone wants it (free). The passenger slider has a bit of rock rash on it, but otherwise they are fine. They've been on the truck since I got it October 21, about 13k miles. I obviously didn't bother...
  3. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Yeah, I used the built right rails as well, very well made.
  4. Loctite vs never seize

Lol, it is insidious stuff... Just open the jar and it's immediately all over everything
  5. Loctite vs never seize

You're talking about the body mount bolts I assume? I was thinking about doing that. My sliders came with grade 8.8 bolts, but I couldn't get them to thread in for some reason so just put the factory bolts back in. I may swap them out, especially since they are a bit shorter than the ones...

Some pictures from my road trip to CO and UT this past September.. In no particular order... Loveland Pass Cinnamon Pass North Rim Fins N Things Mirror Lake Tincup Pass Chicken Corners Tincup Pass Lockhart Canyon trail
  7. Aftermarket backup lights amber ques

I had a previous work truck that had a bunch of amber Whelen TIR3 light heads and I pulled them off when we got rid of it. Whelen (RSA03ZCR) Warning Light https://a.co/d/7re8PbW They aren't the cheapest lights, but you definitely get what you pay for. These things have been going for nearly 10...
  8. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

No, everything went smoothly. I did have to open up the 2 front holes on the pinch weld on both sides, but I was kind of expecting that. The rear body mount bolts were not too much fun though, I had to break out my breaker bar.. We'll see how she likes the step, but for me it is really nice...
  9. Insane Audio JL4001

Thanks a lot! That is what I needed to see. I think I'm going to go for it, especially if they still have the trade in deal. Thanks again for the help.
  10. Insane Audio JL4001

One other question actually, I think I saw in the JL forum thread someone said there is no separate slider for the sub? I added a jvc and I hope that isn't the case.. If you could get a picture of the audio settings that would be awesome.
  11. Loctite vs never seize

Never noticed that... For what it's worth, this is the one I use on everything: https://neverseizeproducts.com/regular-grade-never-seez-nsbt-8-brush-top-anti-seize-8-oz/ I also use it to lube stainless hardware to keep from galling.. Definitely don't want to lick that stuff though.
  12. Insane Audio JL4001

Thanks, that's good to hear. I'm of the same opinion, I love having native apps in the head unit. Android auto drives me crazy most of the time, at least using maps anyway..
  13. Loctite vs never seize

Sort of like saying kleenex.. I use it as a general term, but it is an actual brand (it's actually never seeze, but auto correct doesn't like that lol) https://neverseizeproducts.com/
  14. Tailgate weight capacity/ Halfway down

Thanks, I should have guessed someone made these. I can't read this forum for more than 10 minutes without spending money lol..
  15. Dealer damaged drain plug

Probably just a mental thing, but I feel like I'd be nervous with one of these valves going off road.. I have an Asfir skid plate, would one of these work or would they interfere?
  16. Front tow removed

Pictures? Where was the bracket bolted to? What gladiator do you have?
  17. Insane Audio JL4001

So those of you who have the 4001 would you say it's worth it? Especially as an upgrade to the 3001? I'd still like to know if the screen dimming works better than the 3001, it does not really dim well at night. My 3001 seems to be draining my battery when the truck is off very quickly, so I...
  18. Loctite vs never seize

The rear bolts for me were the hardest to get off, I had to use a breaker bar. Those appear to have blue loctite. The front two on both sides spun right off with my impact (same impact wouldn't touch the rear). I'm leaning towards just sticking with the never seize. I'll just check the bolts...
  19. Tailgate weight capacity/ Halfway down

I was thinking about this as well as I was using them this weekend. Seems like it probably wouldn't be a huge deal to fab something up.. I will say that I don't think even on a heavy duty truck the tailgate is rated for the capacity of the truck, but it would be nice to not worry about the...
