What does a lift have to do with the acknowledged faulty steering gear that Jeep has created a TSB to replace? Does the Magnuson act mean nothing anymore to these people? The lift didn’t cause the manufacturing or design defect in the original steering gear so it is irrelevant. I can see a...
Installed my Baja Designs LP6 driving combo lights on the bumper. They are hurt your brain bright. I wired them into #1 of the accessory switches. I didn’t bother with the high/low function. I also bought the quadratec daytime running light harness for the backlights, but they don’t come on...
@JeepCares your brand is suffering here. This should be a recall and your customers should not be fighting incompetent dealer service departments to get a fix for the products flawed design. Jeep dealership service is the worst aspect of the Jeep experience.
Please give this feedback to...
While that's a great photo, that's not a sky color I care to see in person. Thankfully fire isn't something we have to worry about on the east coast. Make sure you have a go bag stashed in the JT and stay safe over there!
Has anyone had the TSB service performed in NJ at Ramsey or Paramus Jeep? Those are the two closest dealerships to me and I’d like to go to one that isn’t going to give me a hassle.
Ignoring the quality of the various Warn lines for a moment, a snatch block should be in everyone’s recovery kit. Your 10K winch does a lot more useful work with a pulley attached to the other vehicle or fixed anchor point.
Does anyone here have authoritative information on the specific design differences between the old and new steering gear? I.e. what actually fixes this in the new box? Is the material secondary to the gearing design or is this that aluminum flexes more than iron?
Well, except for the spare.
OP, if you really care about hauling and towing, you’re not going to beat the F250/F350....but it won’t be as fun as the Gladiator.

After reading your post, I got under my Rubicon with a magnet (build date sept 2019) and found that the steering box is most certainly aluminum. I wouldn't say there's slop in the steering, but it definitely follows the crown of the road more than and vehicle I've driven before and I've had...
I would never tow without my Equalizer hitch, at least with the Gladiator. I probably didn’t need it for my F350, but wanted to be extra safe. In either case, I don’t see the WDH as allowing you to tow more than rated, just that it lets you tow the rated weight more safely.
