I like the little SUV looking one. That would be a cool runabout. Utilitarian enough for me and enough space to carry some passengers in a pinch.
But I'm probably more likely to buy a boat than a third automobile at this point 😄
Let me tell you how overrated reading is.
I told (text) the ole lady the other day I wanted two chalupas and a steak quesadilla when she was stopping at Taco Bell after work.
She came home with two chalupas and a steak taco.
I said taco and quesadilla aren't even remotely the same word.
She...
I'd assume due to the potential for interference.
GMRS radios are locked in to certain frequencies, low ability to interfere with other comms - so ultimately nobody really cares if you have the license.
Amateur bands, much higher probability with interfering with other comm systems both...
After we went to our NASCAR race in February, I couldn't find my daily coffee cup. Figured the ole lady left if in the stands one morning when we were watching qualifying.
Anyway, a month after the trip I found she had stuffed it under the passenger seat.
Still had quite a bit of old coffee...
I used GMRS radios for a number years without any license. Those guys don't headhunt the way Ham's do.
Anyway, after I got my amateur Technician license, I bought the GMRS license for giggles.
At my local ramp I use 2WD - but the water is only 6-8 inches below the driveway so the truck is practically on flat ground when you launch, and you have to 90* into the ramp so 4WD would have me in a hell of a bind.
But steeper ramps, or especially ones slicked up with algae - 4WD not a bad idea.
Having rode in a 3/4 ton Ram - I'd take the Gladiator on a daily drive.
Now, my buddies 3/4 ton GMC, that's different...what the IFS lost in durability in that level truck it gained in manners.
Different thread though.
Mine has Fuyao glass and I haven't seen a shade of insulation anywhere in it.
It's fine.
It's kinda like all the women that have been in my life - I like the ones that ain't quite right.
Well you wouldn't be wrong, but that's just how these are factory. To my knowledge there is basically no insulation in these cabs other than what the single layer carpet offers.
Mine generally maintains temperature, but if you get it in the right circumstance it struggles - which has only been...
Back in February we went to north Louisiana for a short trip. That same weekend we were getting temps into the low 20s / high teens. It was a week after that snow storm they had around Monroe. Wind blowing at a steady 15-20 MPH.
Anyway, my mom kept complaining her feet were getting blown with...
I agree on these points.
On the Scrambler topic, sounds like something I have no use for / interest in.
Though I do really like the 5.7 Rumble Bee Ram...
Probably out of my price range.
I genuinely love that some people use their Jeeps this way because I couldn't 😂
Three and a half years and I haven't removed a freedom panel or a door.
*Checks notes*
Two half ton trucks that probably suck less to be in all day.
To be fair, if I had a newer half ton pickup in the driveway and I was picking between that and my Gladiator to drive 70 miles a day for work and occasionally take customers or coworkers to lunch - I'd probably take...
I can smell coolant very faintly on occasion with my truck. Never did a pressure test though. I added coolant once or twice and now it stays level. I'm chalking it up to being underfilled at the factory. Power steering fluid was low too. Neither have apparent leaks. Truck doesn't overheat.
Changing injectors 'just because' = not good data.
Changing injectors and coming up with 1 MPG increase = quantifiable data. I like it.
So, $700 in parts (Mopar injectors and coil packs) - one extra mile per gallon, it usually takes 18 gallons to fill up my truck from where I typically stop...
