  1. Replacing plugs and injectors

I'm still personally bewildered on changing them if there is nothing wrong. Unless you have a vehicle that sits up for months without running and using fuel with ethanol content, the injectors don't need to be replaced. And even then, dump some Berryman B12 in the tank and fresh gas and run the...
  2. trailer pulling.

Not so sure folks want to go converting their trailers to surge brakes though, when at this point they pretty much only exist on rental trailers. Would probably cost a lot more than buying the pigtail and a controller for a JT. Anyway - I have an old Tekonsha Prodigy P2 I plug it when I need...
  3. Portable vs. Fixed Air Compressors: Which Side Are You On?

Same/similar here, actually. My previous JK had the compressor hard mounted under the hood with the outlet by the front bumper. It was handy. My current Jeep, I use a portable compressor. I have a Deutsch connector at the front bumper to plug my Viair into. If I am using the compressor with...
  4. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Long drive. But if i was in the area. 👀🤣
  5. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Was thinking about this more today. Some things that we need to adjust slightly to enjoy using the boat - like some better anchors, rope, etc - we plan to keep a tote handy that will be our boat stuff that will stay with us when he uses it. Items that will transfer to whatever vessel we get...
  6. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Yea we was joking that what little time he gets to use it he'll be able to just hook up and go 😂 All good. Learning what I do and dont want when I get ready to buy my own.
  7. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

It was yesterday, but we took the borrowed boat on its maiden voyage with us. Went well. Owner doesnt have much time to use it so said we are free to run it in exchange for helping with some maintenance and upkeep.
  8. Another One Bites The Dust - Tick Of Death

50K miles. Still have lobes 😬
  9. The 10 harsh truths Jeep didn't come out with a V8 Jeep gladiator.

V8 isn't gonna happen 😄 I'll just have to keep some cam kits on the shelf as the truck gets older. Or get rid of it for a fullsize or a GM midsize with a turbski.
  10. JT Sport mod recs

I did mine because the tail in the air look isn't for me. Yea, it's a truck and when you load it, it levels out. That's fine. Still don't like it. I've lost about 1 MPG between going up to 285 tires and the leveling kit. Still pull almost 19 MPG going back and forth to work, stability was not...
  11. Cerealous Ducking

Mine stays in as I do tow frequently but I also have one of those u-bolt looking things on it that keeps it tight so it doesn't rattle, so taking the hitch out requires loosening the clamp up each time with an 11/16" socket. However, I am pretty aware they can annoying to folks walking about so...
  12. What’s the best trip you’ve taken in your Gladiator so far?

I've only been on one big offroad / camping trip in the Gladiator, and that was to Palo Duro Canyon and that was a great trip that used the truck as intended. But, I have been camping with my truck to Atlanta Motor Speedway for NASCAR weekend twice, and that's a weekend that's not possible...
  13. Starting a 6.4 Hemi swap

I wouldn't lose a minute of sleep over a cast crank in a 5.7L if it was offered to me, and the 6.4L being stronger would be lost on me. But I don't have the coin for either swap so I guess it's irrelevant 😂 Looks like fun, curious to see the progress.
  14. So, why do Jeep plastics fade so quickly?

I use it as a pre-emptive treatment - mostly on vinyl and 'leather'. Now, not sure if it really helps (did Project Farm test it as a preventive measure or as a restorer?) but I do know it doesn't do much at all for bringing something back after damage has been done.
  15. Tie rod ends replacement time

If they lasted you 100K the first time around, I'd think good OEM replacements are fine. I got barely 32K out of my first drag link on a stock truck, so I was NOT going to spend money on more OEM parts...
  16. anyone use Liqui Moly 5w30 in their 6?

My Camaro SS takes 5W-30, our van takes 5W-20, our mower and boat take 5W-30. I have been very close before to just putting 5W-30 in the truck so that I can one oil for everything 😂 The van has already been getting 5W-30.
  17. anyone use Liqui Moly 5w30 in their 6?

Whew, $53 for five quarts. That'll make your eyes water. Running Pennzoil Platinum here. Cause wallet. I think the oil would have to come with a written guarantee that my cams would not eat themselves, and a warranty to cover them if they did, for me to spend just about double on oil. But if...
  18. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

The Grand Cherokee now comes with the Hurricane 2.0L, 324HP/332TQ on certain trim levels. This is not the same 2.0L that is available in the Wrangler. So there are other engines in the catalog. I'm sure the same old reasons will come up - that they can't properly cool the turbo motor in the...
  19. Help with stiff ride after 1.5 lift on 23 Overlander

Yes, 33s do fit on a Sport stock, and will press into / damage the fenders at full flex if you don't limit up travel. There isn't a lot to gain by smashing the fenders off the truck in return for a little more up travel. I have longer shocks in the front to go with the 1.5" spacer, so my down...
  20. Help with stiff ride after 1.5 lift on 23 Overlander

I think it depends on tire size/Jeep model I have the bump stop extension installed on mine with 285/70R17's and at full stuff I can just barely tuck my hand around the top of the tire, and I have room to flex and turn. Without it I'd be concerned about putting too much pressure on the fender...
