It comes with a backplate that bolts on the backside. It's silver but you can paint any color you want before attaching, obviously I did the orange....
Curiously though the 2 small nuts that attach it didn't come included, luckily I had the right size on-hand so no problem. There's 2 studs on...
I did, install was fairly easy. No modification was needed to the skid plate. I liked the look and it's pretty solid and beefy. I'm very pleased and recommend!
1. I asked Daniel to not put the dealer decal on my Jeep upon delivery. He was totally okay with it and didn't have any issue. You just need to tell him up front and ask.
2. I drove down to Chattanooga and hit Rock City on the way home but you could also head east and go through Smoky...
I did, went back inside and told them I marked them so I'd know how they rotated them for when I do it myself next time. They quickly got it back in and did and apologized. Sorry if a little perturbed, but this is the same dealer than refused to honor the Jeep Wave oil change at 5K miles...
Went in for my 1st Jeep wave service (2nd oil change, 1st was myself, 1st tire rotation) at 11K miles. I clearly asked for both oil change and rotation.
Before drop off, I wrote on my rims with a pencil #1-4 to verify afterward how they did it.
After signing the ticket that the oil change and...
I was in Destin this past week and next to our condo was a popular seafood restaurant and we could overlook the parking lot from our balcony. One of the employees had a JT and I ducked her every night, saw her a few times come out and find it at the end of her shift. One night someone also...
Go ahead and place your order. You don't need your control number until delivery day. Should work out since you have to wait 30 days, and the dealer won't get it any sooner than 30 days anyway. But I have seen some as soon as 3 weeks...
I love mine, I pop mine open anytime it's not raining. I have had zero issues. No leaks, wind noise has not been majorly noticeable and I was switching from Hothead installed freedom panels to this. But I drive with it open most of the time anyway.
As far as the man bun factor? I don't...
The legend is that old man Gupton used to raise ducks back in the 1800's. Sold them and made quite a name for himself and the Gupton name in the middle TN area. The duck blight of the 1920's wiped out his flock and ruined his business, so his son's started the Gupton dealership. To this day...
They do ship the shims now with the top. And they provide pretty decent instructions on getting the rails off. Just a lot of patience and easy force to not snap the clips. Once you figure out one side, the other side goes pretty quick. Still was a pain though.
