I ran SSR's about 15yrs ago on a Chevy Tracker ZR2, they were oversized and drove incredibly well for such an aggressive tire. If I could find them at an affordable price I would love to have then on my Mojave.
Only thing I don't like of the Mojave is the 2 inches up front with only 3/4 in the rear. I run 1.5 up front and anymore would be too much unless I added more in the rear.
Teraflex makes a front track bar bracket that can be used also, raises the track bar at the axle just like the rear...
The reality is if you do 35's you'll be happy with general performance but will always feel like you should have gone 37's! If you go 37's right away you might find things aren't as great for daily use as you'd hoped. If you have any expectation of good shifting and braking 37's won't be...
Currie also makes a more expensive 1.5 inch Mojave lift with all the same bits as AEV. On my last Mojave I had a 1 inch spacer up front and a 3/4 spacer in the rear with 35's. It was perfect! Then it got stolen so on the replacement I added a 1.5 inch front spacer, the shocks didn't like that...
I run the Cooper AT3 XLT in 37x12.5r17, they have the white letters! Mine are turned in but just tossing this out there as another option. I had BFG KO2's on my last Jeep JLUXR, I feel like the wet and winter performance is very comparable, neither as good as the Falken AT3W's I had...
Then add the cap with roof racks and 10k!
After my last post I did a new search and found an RSI Smart Cap used with the canoe rack I need where guy is 450miles away looking for $1000. Waiting to hear back!
There is a dealer local to me. Just the ARE caps are 5k here with no add ons. Canada is fucked! I've been watching for a used cap to pop up within 500 miles.
THat's a very nice setup, I'd enjoy that. Is that available for the JT? If so maybe that is the answer as you'd have some added length making sleeping in it likely good.
No shit on the JT bed. Keep the RAM then and be comfortable. Or look for a ram with this package added to it;; https://www.instagram.com/aevconversions/p/C4G69PZRdIs/
It isn't great. The 4dr is much more comfortable for sure in this case.
I slept in my tent in Grizzly bear, Wolf, Muskox areas plenty of times, I spent 6 full weeks doing that 2 summers ago.
Good luck with whatever you choose. If you wanna go wheeling get the 4dr and sleep in it, if not...
The rare time I find myself needing to sleep in the Jeep I just sleep in the front passenger seat. I'm 47 and fit and it isn't the best sleep. When camping I bring my tent now. I really miss having a 6ft bed with a cap for camping. Even the 6ft bed felt tight once I had a good pillow in...
