My Mobil 1 EP filter is rated for 20K mi, but I always follow the recommended oil & oil filter service intervals and never exceed 10K mi for either the oil or the filter. FRAM XG11665 is also a solid choice.

This is the first time I've heard of changing the oil filter more often than the oil. Let me know if you put any of your vehicles up for sale. Probably better than new.
