I would look at this a different way given the details provided. - Why don't you like the idea of a Spray in / on bedliner? - I keep seeing mention of prepping bed with Plastidip - It would seem to me given the almost universal dislike / value on a drop in - and relative cost - that a spray in...
If you climb under your jeep and take a look - Behind the fascia of the bumper - Its almost a traditional - CJ, YJ, TJ C channel bumper not quite straight but it is a solid piece. -
You havent really been off road until you have rigged a battery welder for an axle repair. Inseries battery hookup with some stick weld rods - It does take skill.
Depending how soon you need it - A simple cab cover will work - Top on slide cover over - covers opening for doors easily. JL one for a JLU would drop down into the bed a bit but would function - just trying to keep prying eyes and morning dew out of the interior. I have used one for years...
Sounds like a good idea - but what was the question. Paint - simple choose a color / mask / tape shoot. Line-X just make sure your protecting the mating surfaces / keep a good seal probably wouldn't even need Hothead liner at that point due to insulation factor
I would guess it depends on your height - Simple really release latches - Push up top to 45 degree angle - reach up and continue motion to rear placement. On our JL - GF stands on side steps -
Seats - never

You don't need to get wider wheels - you can run those tires on Factory width rims no issue (the Wheel / tire thread has examples) The recommendation is for tire performance - but you will adjust tire pressure based on the JT being lighter than the larger tires can support. Example - My TJ...
Don't forget - its a metal bumper and a jeep - Modifications are permitted :-) Take a look underneath for obstructions and if needed redrill or slot mounting location - less than 10 minutes -
I agree with the question here - If you regeared and adjusted based on tire size - Transmission shift points are tied to the RPM - If you have a performance expectation - i.e. harder launches - towing etc that would want to hold a specfiic gear longer - adjusting may make sense otherwise that...
Apparently the Factory likes the idea also - You can regear with FAD replacement axles - I was searching for options and surprised. https://moparonlineparts.com/jeep-gladiator-front-axle-p-9213.html
