Anyone thought about removing the tailgate sport decal?

Here's what I did...

Since I have a large "Gladiator" decal on the hood, seemed redundant to have them on the fender as well so made these up:

Replaced the "Sport" decal with a smaller version of the decal I made for the hood:

I found and ordered this off eBay a day or so ago. This will go on the right where the Sport was, and then on the left side, the 4WD logo. Going for that '60's Kaiser Jeep tailgate look. My '69 Kaiser CJ-5 had the 4WD logo, but was painted over, but still there. I'll let you know how the quality is of the Gladiator decal.

But make the font the size used on the scrambler concept-
This would match the original Gladiator Jeep lettering better (image below) I'm pretty sure they used the pin holes also for the EE's on the Scrambler concept, and also, I would replace the stock lettering with this in a heartbeat too.

I think the scrambler concept was a decal on the tailgate. 3D letters would look better!

Looking at that image, yeah it's definitely a decal.
I'm hoping they'll add the old-school block lettering as an Mopar parts option.

Here's where I'm at. This year had white letters apparently (see the sliver of white on the letters). I'm going to try to get the patina cleaned, maybe let it rust. If it looks cool I'll keep. If not, I'll get it painted red. Hard decision! I guess I'll see what people say....

Man...I made sure to state specifically in an email to my dealer that I DO NOT want their decal on my truck. Unless they're gonna pull a couple grand off the price for advertising, they're not putting shit on my truck.
I did the exact same thing. They were amazed I didn't want to advertise for them and I told them it was 5k per addon (sticker, license plate holder, etc) needless to say there are no stickers or anything.
