Okay I've already received my new gray camo Gladiator emblem for my tailgate but before I destroy my paint does anyone have a good method of removing the Jeep emblem?

Clay bar or WD40 for glue removal? Or another way?

😆 My husband and I just did this a few weeks ago.

A hair dryer (or heat gun) and fishing line……the heavier the better. Don’t bother with lightweight line, it’ll break too often. I think we had 35lb fishing line that we had in the boat. 😆

Pack your patience….. it takes time and patience.

After you’ve removed the decal itself, you’ll probably have leftover ’stuff’ on your tailgate. We just rolled it with our fingers until it all came off.

Then….. We used a combination of a polishing wheel, polishing compound, and prep sprays to totally remove the old decal and prep for our Gladiator emblem.

Took about 15 minutes. Heat up the letters and pry up a corner wit a plastic pry tool like you would use on the interior. I put on a mechanics glove. With s little heat and something like pb blaster spray adhesive and roll up the sticky stuff with your thumb in the glove. Remove any oil with soap and rubbing alcohol

I used a heat gun. Came off easily and clean.

I read someone mentioned holes when you debated the JEEP on the tailgate. Are there holes?

I used a industrial hair dryer (heat gun), plastic Razer, and goo gone!
Worked pretty good for me.

Can confirm there are two holes in the tailgate when removing the emblem. Trick is to find enough junk to put on your tailgate to cover them up
