I had a similar issue after dealer did an oil change on our 2020 JTR. Found oil spots on the garage floor. They took it back in and checked. It ended up that when the technician was removing the filter oil dripped on cross member but he never wiped if off. They wiped it down, no more issues.
This case provides a very good reason to initiate the call by letting them know you are going to record the conversation, and then doing so. That said, it’s a pretty sad commentary in general, and of a brand I hope to continue to use, specifically Jeep.
Well, that’s an issue I wouldn’t have expected with any purchase from a dealer, let alone being a new vehicle. I have a new truck coming in very shortly and will now know better than signing any papers without the key issue being discussed up front.
I tend to agree, those mods do make the job more time consuming. I’d do as suggested earlier, ask about what needs to come off to reduce or eliminate the extra charges, then decide if you want to do it yourself.
Thanks for the responses.
I have a 2020 JTR so come with both front and rear lockers.
@Artsifrtsi, in the waterfall situation you describe, if you have both front and rear lockers, would you engage all or still do front only?
@Dickster, I pretty much do the same, starting with none to rears...
To compare, here is the same 3.5" Metalcloak Game Changer setup with 37's. If there is no interest in 37's in the future, I personally like the look of the 2.5" setup. Nonetheless, whatever you do will look good.
Have no experience with that particular brand, but if you’re looking for steps that offer rock slide protection, I don’t think they’d be what you need.
The Amp Research steps look to have a larger platform for your foot, but they are much more expensive. If I was looking for a power step only...
I’m not familiar with diesels in passenger cars and trucks but wonder if there’s any chance it could be a DEF sensor issue. We had a 2016 motorhome with large diesel in it. The DEF sensor went bad and the system started to detune itself over time. It started at 100% for certain number of hours...
I would hope that the moderators or those administering this forum would maintain the integrity of the forum by looking into the situation where a vendor appears to show a pattern of deception. Not saying they are, but if they appear to be, it should looked into.
I’ll second that. Originally we purchased a set of Amp Research Power Steps. Great steps, nice and wide for easy in and out, but not for rocks. Hadn’t started out rock climbing but when we started it didn’t take long to trash the Amp Research steps. Bent the drivers side step so it wouldn’t...
I have the Toyo’s and would have the same comments. Like you, mine are RT’s, not MT’s. I’m very happy with the tires. When I was looking for a new set I was looking at Nitto and Toyo. The only reason I went with Toyo was immediate availability.
