  1. Life after re-gearing to 5.13 question…

Man the difference between your 4.10ā€˜s and the new 5.13’s will blow your mind. So awesome having 7th & 8th gear back. The initial break in trips you have to do are a bit of a pain. Be careful when you pull out of their shop onto the I35 access road when you leave. I got a lot of horns...
  2. Life after re-gearing to 5.13 question…

Ahhh, gotcha. So this behavior is normal. My computer knows I have different gears as is adjusting power bands to match. In my example slowing to a stop from 60 mph, the jeep doesn’t downshift from 8th to 7th until I’m at about 800 rpm. I’m having to lean on the brakes much harder to stop...
  3. Life after re-gearing to 5.13 question…

Yep…I already had a Tazer in my Jeep and they adjusted it correctly. I double-checked to make sure the gear ratio update ā€œstuckā€ and it’s definitely there.
  4. Life after re-gearing to 5.13 question…

I thought about that…maybe it will improve with time and learning. I just passed the 500 mile mark today.
  5. Life after re-gearing to 5.13 question…

Not yet…I go in on Monday for my 500 mile break in inspection/fluid change. I’ll definitely ask about it, just curious if anyone else had similar experiences.
  6. Life after re-gearing to 5.13 question…

Oh and before anyone asks the tire size and gear ratio is set correctly. I’m running 37x12.50 Cooper STT Pros.
  7. Life after re-gearing to 5.13 question…

I recently had my gears swapped to Revolution 5.13’s at Exodus 4x4 (more about that in a second). I’ve noticed when breaking, let’s say on a highway at 60 mph and coming to a stop at a red light, the transmission doesn’t downshift like it did with 4.10’s like it used to and ā€œhelpā€ my brakes...
  8. RCV axles

Question about RCV axle shafts that keep the FAD… Is there a difference that is noticeable in 2WD vs the standard axle shafts or is it only in 4WD?
  9. I know I know….. Need real world feedback. 5.13-35’s

My jeep was only moved from the service bay to the parking lot "not knowing" that it had 37" tires and 5.13 gears so there wasn't enough time driven to cause any harm. Personally I unmarried my tazer because I had this paranoid feeling that the dealership techs would be able to tell that I use...
  10. I know I know….. Need real world feedback. 5.13-35’s

Correct...I used the wrong verbiage. I'll edit the post.
  11. I know I know….. Need real world feedback. 5.13-35’s

Tire size and gear ratio adjustments made via the Tazer are not "live" functions and do not require the Tazer to remain connected to your vehicle. If you go in for a warranty or recall that requires a software update it will (more than likely) erase the settings previously set by your Tazer and...
  12. Jeep Superbowl Commercial: The Jeep 4xe "Electric Boogie"

Gotta love hitting that diversity quota!
  13. Sting Grey (PDN) Spray Paint

I’ve been trying to order MOPAR PDN spray paint cans to do some custom touches here and there on my JT. I’ve tried MOPAR.com, multiple dealers, basically anywhere I can find it and my orders either get cancelled or the dealer can’t get it. Been placing orders and calling local dealers for the...

  17. REDARC SBI concerns - opinions please

Hey there! I think you need a Redarc BCDC instead. It supports lithium batteries. I run a BCDC 1225D and an Antigravity 100 ah battery in the bed in a battery box box and it works flawlessly. Runs my fridge and all kinds of scene lighting on my bed rack. Also gives you the option to add a...
  18. Low profile bed racks

Define low profile. I consider my Rebel Off Road half-height rack to be low profile. Fishbone off-road makes a great half-height rack as well. Billie Bars are super low profile options to build a rack off of. What’s your use case?
  19. Opinions on control arms...Metalcloak - Clayton - Rusty's

MetalCloak all day. Most durable, quiet, long-lasting, maintenance-free bushings out there and solid as a rock. Fantastic company with fantastic customer service. I can't speak to any other brands because I've never used anything else on my jeeps.
  20. Re-gear Poll

Mojave. V6. Automatic. 315/70R17 STT Pro’s. Want to go to 37. Factory 4.10:1 gears. I want 37’s, same tire. I’ve already spent just over $35k on Jeep upgrades and accessories. Do I really need to regear? Do I need HD ball joints? Do I need hydraulic steering? Do I need chromoly axle...
