I really don't go out of my way to remove a dealer decal unless it is obtrusive or I was in my mind " Done Wrong". The one on there now is from the Volvo dealership I got it from. I will eventually get around to removing it. It is maybe 2x4 inches. But that dealer treated me great. Got a...
Every other bike on the road in my area is a new H-D. It seems cool now to own a bike from just about any manufacturer other than Harley. New H-Ds flooded our markets, drove resale values to ridiculous lows. Good for someone wanting to get into one.
It's funny how no one, including me, like to advertise our vehicle dealerships. Around here though folks purchase dealership stickers and logos for local Harley Davidson shops, even get T-Shirts to advertise individual dealers. I have a oil dipstick with a 23 yo dealer logo on my ,'97...
A few days of sub 10 F temps our winter blend diesel gels. We add diesel 911. Runs well then. But it is a step I don't care to be bothered with. And needing to add DEF. Diesels not liking to run for short jaunts? For me a diesel engine is just inconvenient.
I personally never cared for diesel engines in a daily driver. But it may be for you. I hear good things about the diesel JT's. That said, I would do the regeared with 37"s.
18" heavy "Heart Attack" snow. Rode all around in 2 WD. Put it in 4 WD and f and r lockers in a unplowed abandoned parking lot just to exercise the stuff. Turned TC off in 2WD. No problems. The path I made riding around almost reminded me of a half lowered plow, due to 8" or so of under...
I too used both washers. So you think a third washer will do it? Was such an easy install. I would 3rd washer it if it makes a difference. But like I mentioned, I actually got so used to it I really didn't notice it any more till I saw this thread.
As others have alluded to... I turn TC off in snow, mud, trails etc. On the paved roads I keep it on. Works for me. I see lot.s of snow and my JTR does not let me down.
I bought the Quadratec. Made of brushed stainless steel. I was surprised at the heavy duty quality. One bolt install. Pedal goes to floor and can be lifted out of way if you want stretch.
I was surprised though to feel a pulse in the dead pedal when releasing the foot break. The one bolt...
I had an '84 Harley Softail. Head light would dim to almost nothing when I applied the breaks. Ended up being a chaffed through wire under rear fender. Nothing to do with the head light. But that's electricity, just does weird stuff if not just right? Found chaffed wire while replacing...
Good one, the tailgate open light on dash. Mine opens on own every now hand again. Probably my own fault for not closing hard enough. I always make sure it is set so it will only open half way. So as to not loose anything back there if it happens again.
Thank you aftermarket. I can get pretty much anything out there in time. I have always been the type that likes to realize the differences that come from my changes. Pretty much a fully optioned Rubicon has 85% of stuff I already want. To get still... Lift, tires and clear roof panels and...
Sharp JT, I have my JTR and am extremely happy with it. Other wise I might have been looking at exact same truck, maybe bought it before you! If it is a viable option for you to purchase that? Hell yeah!
I never thought twice about Jeeps in particular. Always liked pick up trucks. Then I saw this lifted black Rubicon JT with 37" mud tires, lights all over and a big winch. The licence plate read "KRAKEN". I said to my wife "What the hell is that?" She said " It says Gladiator". Coolest...
I feel a pulse or something like it in my dead pedal when I release the break. It is attached right next to the break pedal. It uses an existing bolt that has a 13mm nut. No rubbing, nothing touches it, the bolt is tight too. Must be what ever the bolt is connected to on the engine side of...
