Heavens to Murgatroid! I had death wobble like Mjonir's video demonstrates on my TJ. A fair bit worse actually. I replaced a lot of the front end components to try to fix this, but I got on the highway after picking it up from the Jeep specialty shop and it immediately death wobbled on me...
This is why skinny tires tend to be better on rocks too. Same weight over a smaller contact patch causes the tire deform more around the rock surface. Lowering the pressure in the tire enhances this because even though you are increasing he size of the contact, the lower pressure allows for...
This is something that doesn't get talked about enough in the Jeep world. Narrower tires are better any time you don't need a lot of flotation, like deep snow or sand. Everybody wants that wide tire look. It's really unfortunate, because I would love to have some decent options for narrow...
Good to know this has been an issue. I will be careful from now on. I'm used to vehicles where you fill them until they are near the top of the filler neck.
I had a manual TJ and a manual JK as well. It wasn't a thing on the TJ and the JK manual never sat well with me. It just felt clunky. I could never get past that or the crummy location of reverse long enough to notice rev hang or lackthereof. It went to my ex in the divorce, lol. The JT...
I tossed the gas can in the back the other day. Hit 0 range as I got to work. Drove home about 13 miles, but got anxious about it so I filled up. I hit shut off on the pump at 19 gallons and it slowly squeezed 2 more gallons in before I gave up.
Definitely wouldn't work for me. I wouldn't have even looked at Gladiators if they didn't come with a manual. I suppose if I was disabled to the point of needing an automatic, I would consider one, lol.
Ah, I see what you are saying. Yes, there are some legal grey areas, but a cop would have to be an incredible douche to give me a hard time over having a vehicle registered in TN with TN plates while I am a MA resident. Not to say it won't happen, but the cops in my town seem a pretty decent...
Gupton sends you a package with everything you need to register in MA. I haven't done it yet as my Tennessee temp tags still have some time on them, but it looks pretty straight forward. They even calculate MA sales tax and roll it into the loan, then give you a check for that amount. They...
I very rarely see daily drivers older than 2000 model year in this area thanks to our ridiculous "safety" inspection system and road salt. About half of the ones I do see are Wranglers/CJs. There are a ton of people who modify these and keep them until they get totaled. The people that don't...
Mine are the perforated leather option on a Rubicon. The one you posted a picture of is the "Stitched leather", though I would imagine that is wrong too as I believe it should have the red stitching. The configurator does them no justice. They are quite beautiful IMO.
