Ok. I guess I will just adapt to it. I suppose I might consider a tune at some point. I do have an idrive which I really like. I had a manual Impreza for a few weeks in lieu of a rental, but didn't noticed it on that. All of my other manuals have been much older.
Cripes! The Pentastar hooked up to the manual trans has one helluva rev hang going on. I'm sure it is in there to keep the cats working when you let off the gas, but dang is it obnoxious. I tried searching the forum for this issue, but couldn't find much. Do people just don't notice it? Am...
I don't have any experience with the Ram, but what gears did it have? What configuration? 2WD?
Also, have you tried a throttle controller on your Gladiator? That could easily make up the difference you are noticing.
C'mon, someone a lot less lazy than me confirm or disprove this already, lol.
My suspicion is that this is just the BDL doing its thing. With locked rear, you would basically need both back tires and one front to have no traction to stop motion, and even then, BDL may just overcome that.
I noticed that here, :CWL:. I guess my family is just weird. I bought my TJ in 2009 and sold it this year to make room for my Gladiator. My brother has had the same TJ since 2002 I think. I think those of us who keep them a long time get pretty sentimental about them.
As for bumpers, I've...
It seems pretty safe. I haven't had any issues with it from that aspect. It mirrors the screen just fine, but I didn't have any audio. I think you might need to either line out from the phone or use Bluetooth for it. I haven't played around with it much yet.
I LOVE the concept, but will never understand why so many automobile companies make what SHOULD be a fun vehicle, then only offer it with an automatic. Oh Chevy...why oh why did you do the Vette like that!? Soo many vehicles through the years I thought were awesome, but would never own because...
I have to clean seeds out of the air filters of my motorcycles at least once a year. Last fall my wife left a cup in her Camry with water in it. How the hell the mouse got in there, I will never know, but at least he didn't die thirsty.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I BELIEVE it is unavailable on the Sport and Willys Sport, it is standard on the Overland/Mojave/Rubicon/HA and the rest it comes with the 8.4" radio option package.
They also unfortunately allowed housing, education, and medical care costs skyrocket while somehow keeping wages stagnant while their generation was running things in the US. Though to be honest, I don't see my generation handing things much better so far.
I laughed a bit at this. Launching in 2nd gear with 32" tires and his current gearing will still be WAY worse than launching in first gear with 39" tires. For example, at 2000 rpm in 1st gear, he is currently going 10mph in 1st gear and 19mph in second. Go up to 39s and its 12mph and 24mph...
It goes into a different stopped situation. It won't restart until you depress the clutch. I tried turning on the A/C while stopped like this and it did not start. This feels like something that was designed into the vehicle in case some dummy decided to throw it into gear while it was...
