Welp. I got a lot accomplished yesterday and today.
1. Removed the aux battery once and for all and pulled the cable up and slapped her on the positive terminal of the main. Last night I pulled it via the fender liner but couldn't get the cable back up so today I pulled the fuse panel to get...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking it. And I have checked crate prices.
I guess what I was trying to say is once they figured out the basic architecture they figured out the next most important thing: how to scale.
They're building an incredible product, better than Toledo can and their...
Might be just me but it looks like these could interfere with a Sunrider.
I have the GPCA handles and for what they are they're decent. To get the handle its self to "fold" up the door has to be closed and the whole sleeve turned slightly outward.
Not arguing the point but I've always tried to do maintenance and replace wear items BEFORE the factory intervals as a small insurance policy to keep the vehicle in good condition. And if there's a new part that improves upon whats on there, i'm 100% going that direction soon as i can.
All depends on the market. There's a market for those god awful SoFlo Jeeps and the silly as a soup sandwich 6x6 conversions. Might not be a big one but it exists. Same goes for the Hellephant etc swapped Jeeps.
Fact is the basic swap is the same between the 5.7, 6.4 and the monster V8s so...
Last time i spoke with Joe his pricing was a little higher than AMW's. Not that his labor pricing is bad, he did my death wobble correction and 4 wheel alignment for $500 plus the parts. Last time i had a 4 wheel done on my other car it was $130-140 alone at a general auto repair shop.
$53K for a fully loaded Sport S with everything but Max Tow when a base Rubicon starts at $53K. Sure, it doesn't have a wench but if you play your cards right....
As a patron of Joe's Jeep Jungle, if they did the work this is a solid truck. They do great work.
Or at least it was when they rolled it out of the shop 😂
I wouldn't say it's stress entirely but more of an annoyance. There is concern about engine components wearing down prematurely from cycling the system.
But on our vehicles as well as others there have been significant issues with the hardware/software that operate the system. In many cases...
I made a little headway in my wiring project yesterday.
I got the 8ga hot and ground run back along the passenger side rail and into the eventual location of the Blue Sea subpanel and 30a breaker. I ran the ground back along the hot into the front kick panel chassis ground.
I made a small...
This right here. I use my sides to check the edge of the bed/bumper when backing up, especially in tight areas like parking lots. Adjusting them outboard more to cover the entire blind spot eliminates that. Ultimately a convex split setup would be best.
In the mean time i have the BSM on and...
I wish i could assign work to the boss. It'll never happen but I can dream, right?
I think the thing that most people don't understand is that when you're self employed and in my line of work (real estate sales) you can go all day business as normal and then one phone call can throw your entire...
