It worked great. Like I said, mine is made from 11 gage stainless so it’s 0.120” (3mm) thick and it’s perfect. The link I posted to McMaster Carr is potentially a bit too thick but it’s the closest I could find to what I had made.
The Honda fits more of the “city truck” market. Not too large, decent mileage, comfortable, and can haul what most small home owners need. If you don’t need to tow or haul 1500 lbs in the bed then they’re great.
I think many people will disagree with you there. I too have a Mopar lift. I have 34's and my tires are just shy of hitting the fender at full articulation with the sway bar disconnected. If I had 37's I would be doing damage, let alone 40's. There's a reason the Mopar lift is only designed for...
At first my dealer couldn't even find the TSB (at least so they said) and said the steering felt normal for the vehicle. I respectfully disagreed and told her I know there is an improved box available. At this point I took it home. The service writer talked to the tech more, did some digging...
Tesla's no longer have the credit and their prices have only gone up. Granted they are a different animal being that they're still a very young company.
Last article I saw said that the only reason they're profitable is the selling of their emissions credits. They're still taking a loss on...
That's definitely a game changer if true. The largest drawback to battery technology now is energy density. Gas beats Li-Ion all day every day, but this would make them much more comparable.
I think the Chevy Volt has the longest electric only range of any PHEV and it's only 53 miles. You won't see anywhere near 100 out of a Jeep JL/JT unless it's full electric.
You're forgetting about the other reason. Smog. In big cities, smog is a major health issue. Those same cities are also far less likely to use coal for their power so taking hundreds of thousands of gas cars off the road would greatly reduce their smog since their natural gas or nuclear power...
I would urge some of the skeptics in here to watch this video

There are plenty of issues with battery manufacturing and recycling, but let's not pretend that ICE engines are perfect. Considering electric vehicles are in their infancy...
Ford may be chasing them for this year, but once the Bronco is on the lot FCA will have to up the ante for the next year. The Bronco certainly has options that Jeep doesn’t offer and could sway buyers. Especially when the majority of wrangler/Gladiator owners are not enthusiasts.
I think what he's saying is do like Ford does where the Sasquatch is a package and not a trim like the Rubicon is. So you can get a "stripped" base 2 door Bronco with the Sasquatch package for $38k (including destination) vs almost $41k for a 2 door Rubi
