You need a new alignment shop. Anyone that does alignments on straight axle vehicles with large tires should know that when they make adjustments to the front, they need to turn the wheels left and right then back to straight before they check the measurements again. My shop knew this and my...
I ran the Mopar lift on 34's for over a year before adding anything. When I had the steering TSB done I added a front Clayton trackbar and the Synergy track bar/sector shaft brace. Well worth the money. Rear track bar and correction brackets are not necessary at all.
I'm planning on adding a...
Honestly, my feeling is that the wider axles were really somewhat designed for the Rubicon so that there was room for upgrading tire sizes more easily. With the max tow and Rubi both having 4.10 gears, it makes sense production wise for them to use the same axles just without the lockers in the...
That's fine if you can drop $3k on a full kit. I got my Mopar lift when the only other option besides spacer lifts was RK. Now that Clayton is out and I know that's what I want, I can't justify another $3k after spending the $1500 1.5 years ago. There's nothing wrong with a slow build.
That's another one there. Tire pressure is very important to check as well. The only alignment spec they can adjust is toe, so that could be roughly checked at home as well.
I know the '21s are supposed to have the new box, but have you verified that? If you're that convinced that it's not right, I'd go to your dealer and ask to test drive another '21 to see if it's the same way. If yours is noticeably different, that's your ammo for getting them to change it out.
My understanding is the Clayton 2.5 lift is actually closer to 3.5" because they factor in 2.5" with the vehicle loaded. Regardless, it will be a little taller than the Mopar lift.
One thing I've learned is that our Mopar lift shocks are actually shorter than the aftermarket Fox shocks that...
I just installed the Synergy brace after having the TSB done a couple weeks ago. I noticed the same thing with that boot up at the pitman arm. Not sure if it’s worth fighting the dealer.
Definitely surprised to see that you're referring to an auto trans issue. As @Renegade mentioned, these ZF transmissions are known to be one of the best transmissions ever. Very sorry to hear you got one of the bad ones. I would've thought it wouldn't be too hard to get it replaced.
