  1. Can you build a better Jeep and save money by starting with a Sport S?

I looked at it this way.... My Max Tow was $7k cheaper than an identically optioned Rubicon. 1. Regardless of which I chose, it would get a lift, tires, wheels, and gears. 2. I didn't want the factory sway disconnect, so that didn't matter. 3. With the new 8 speed, the 4:1 xfer case is not...
  2. Everyone should change the differential fluids sooner rather than later

You just need a 75w-85 or 75w-90 that has a friction modifier in it for the LSD
  3. Everyone should change the differential fluids sooner rather than later

Getting ready to do mine at 19k miles. Owners manual says 20k so we'll see how it looks..... Mobil 1 75W-140 going in
  4. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

You really need to take the stabilizer off and see if the pull is still there. It's not a matter of a stabilizer fixing it, it could be the cause. I have seen a number of people on here who have had this causing a pull.
  5. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Stabilizer won't (and shouldn't) fix it, but it could be causing the pull.
  6. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Have you taken off the stabilizer and seen if the pull is still there then?
  7. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Did it get bled properly? What about alignment? It takes a knowledgeable tech doing the alignment on a straight axle vehicle with larger tires.
  8. HPG Gorilla Glass 6month Update

I didn't realize there was a second way to get Corning's Gorilla Glass. Great to know this an know it has held up well.
  9. Factory Mopar Spray-In Bedliner

Mine has the factory bed liner and I have had it for 20 months with no issues at all. Seems plenty durable for my needs. If I were throwing really heavy tools or gear in the bed constantly that could potentially damage it, I'd probably go Line-X. For my occasional lumber, mulch bags etc, the...
  10. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Mine went the same way. It showed backorder indefinitely and then came in 5 or 6 days. Pleasant surprise!
  11. Differential/Axle Fluid

Ahhhhh I see that. I wish the owners manual had that clarification. I’ll be doing the same then shortly.
  12. Differential/Axle Fluid

In case you haven’t noticed, the drain plug is angled. Ramps just help it drain. No need to be a prick about it.
  13. Travel Trailer Debate- Experienced Opinions Wanted

Doesn't bother me. People can do what they'd like. If you're staying legal, great. The people that go beyond their payload and tow rating should be shunned for it. It's dangerous. If you want to push it and you scale it and are within your capacities, more power to you. I just don't want to be...
  14. Travel Trailer Debate- Experienced Opinions Wanted

IMO that's really pushing it. I wouldn't go over 80% of my rated capacity. With a Max Tow I'm looking at no more than 4500 dry weight.
  15. Differential/Axle Fluid

I mean, I probably am considered overweight....but I can easily get under it without them
  16. Differential/Axle Fluid

I use ramps for the front when I change my oil too....
  17. Overland with Rubi Shocks Springs to Mopar Lift

On an otherwise stock Sport Max Tow I got 2.5" of front lift from stock. I believe a stock max tow only sits about 1/2" lower than a Rubicon.
  18. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

You seem to be one of the only complaints I've seen and even then, your last few posts don't seem to address specifics about your experience. Sorry if I'm not going to go back and look at 160+ pages of thread.
  19. Differential/Axle Fluid

Per the manual, 75w140 is only used in the M200 rear axle (Dana 35,only exists on the JL, not JT's)
