I honestly wouldn't worry about the payload that much. You're not talking about being hundreds of pounds over. Most VIN specific payload limits that I've seen for JTR's have been in the 1100-1200lb range which is where you are. The diesel will haul it significantly better than the 3.6 as well...
But how many people and how much gear in the truck? Every bit of what you add in there counts against that max number. You’ve gotta be just about at max all in. Have you scaled the combined weight of truck and trailer?
That should be about the same 8100 max towing and 1550 max payload that mine is.
Neither of these numbers include any people or gear in the vehicles though.
No problem. I'm leasing as well but am 90% sure I'll buy it out. Only thing I've modified that can't easily be reversed is my JKS quicker disconnects. Had to cut one tab off the axle for those. The rest is easily reversed.
The Wrangler Rubicon's actually don't have fox shocks. They're just the...
This is what I've always heard too. The Q4 motors are the V8 from the Ferrari 458 with 2 cylinders taken off and turbos added. The 404hp version is not the same and is only used in Maserati's.
No problems with 33's at all. Even a 285/75-17 would be great.
15's will not fit. 17 is really the smallest you can run on these because of the size of the brakes.
Most 2" spacer lifts will come with shock extension brackets. Less than 2" likely won't require them. If that's all you want to...
Interesting. Mine's higher too. Sport S Max Tow. Hard top is the only option I have that adds weight.
Max Payload
1553 lb (704.47 kg)
Max Towing
8103 lb (3675.5 kg)
Your camper weighs 5000 empty or loaded? If that’s empty, I’d definitely not plan on being able to tow with a Gladiator unless you really only tow on flat ground for short distances. By the time you’re loaded, best case you’re right at the max rating. Worst case, you’re over. Either way, towing...
FWIW, I’ve been running it with the stock trackbars for a year with no problems. I just want everything in check and also want to slowly replace everything with adjustable components.
