Reading through this makes me SO GLAD that I took the time to seek out a manual.

I practically skipped over the whole CD thing. Went straight from crap-ton of single album cassettes to a plugged in 80G iPod and now Apple Music and car-play. No, I don’t want to turn back time on this. Now, if I could get the old 2 lever transfer case, THAT’S another story! ?

A couple of old favorites I had in the early to mid ‘80s. A ‘67 Wagoneer (6 cyl, “3 on the tree”) and a 62 CJ3-B.

I had a ‘61 (as I recall). Flat head 6 cyl. Hauled a lot of deer out of the woods in it. Great Jeep except for the seat. Short on legroom and very verticals back. It wasn’t comfortable at all. Wish I still had it, though.

I’d like to see the wider axles and ratios of the Max Tow available on manual transmission models (not necessarily the extra tow capability, I get that part). I’d also like to see a manual transmission with a super low first gear, and 2-6 that you drive like a 5 speed. Older trucked were set up...

Y’all are thinking way too hard on this. Geez, just slide the damn thing open when ya want and slide it closed when ya don’t want. It works. It’s simple and reliable. No need to change it just ‘cuss you e run out of other things to change.
