I practically skipped over the whole CD thing. Went straight from crap-ton of single album cassettes to a plugged in 80G iPod and now Apple Music and car-play. No, I donāt want to turn back time on this. Now, if I could get the old 2 lever transfer case, THATāS another story! ?
I had a ā61 (as I recall). Flat head 6 cyl. Hauled a lot of deer out of the woods in it. Great Jeep except for the seat. Short on legroom and very verticals back. It wasnāt comfortable at all. Wish I still had it, though.
Iād like to see the wider axles and ratios of the Max Tow available on manual transmission models (not necessarily the extra tow capability, I get that part).
Iād also like to see a manual transmission with a super low first gear, and 2-6 that you drive like a 5 speed. Older trucked were set up...
There is another dang good one that can be reached from the driverās seat.
But to quote my hero, Forrest Gump, āThatās all I got to say about thatā
After a bit of a rough first go on the winch mount install (thanks again to Shadowās Papa for some good pics to get me on the right path) I got it done and I am 100% happy. Had it on for about 9 months now. Mounted a Warn M8000 and there is no flex in the winch tray. I also subbed my original...
Iāve had my Sunrider on for going on 2 years. Atlanta area, lots of hot weather and sun. Occasional freezing in Jan-Feb. the Sunrider stays on all the time. Itās no noisier than the freedom tops and the fabric (I have the upgraded twill) insulates very well in heat or cold. I think you are...
Yāall are thinking way too hard on this. Geez, just slide the damn thing open when ya want and slide it closed when ya donāt want. It works. Itās simple and reliable. No need to change it just ācuss you e run out of other things to change.
I have one of the plastic trays that make the console pretty useable. Commonly used stuff up top (air pods, flashlight) less commonly used stuff down below. Itās nice, one of my favorite low-buck add-ons.
does anyone know if this is compatible with the Tuffy or other locking āconsole safesā...
So, 2 gulls are flying over the beach one day and one says to the other āWow, check out that cool Jeep Gladiator ā. The other responds, āYeah, I spotted it this morning!ā
Yeah....we all do stupid stuff sometimes. I once (in my young and indestructible '20's) flat-towed a M715 for 40 miles behind a Suburban. Luckily it was smooth, flat country roads. But after a few stops, I realized that the M715 had the advantage in this wrestling match!
Lifeās a bitchā¦ā¦ā¦ then you die.
Get over it.
Seriously, a small suction cup like you would stick on the shower glass will likely pop it right out.
This was my intention as well. I thought that the Freedom Panels would be quieter and warmer during the winter. Turned out that they were neither. As least not enough difference to give up the ability to flip the Sunrider back at a momentās notice on those rare winter days when the temperature...
My dad would have said āThatās the price you pay for the fun you hadā. But I can tell you this stuff is the bomb. https://odoban.com/ Weāve used it for years. Spilt 1/2 a jug of winter diesel additive in the back of my old suburban once. It took the smell right out.
Do it right, though. Pull...
So, I know that Ft Knox security and Jeeps do not travel side-by-side, but this is ridiculous. My son bought a new ā21 Mojave. Out of curiosity he tried his flip-out key in my ā20 Sport S glove box and console AND IT WORKED! The keys were cut entirely different, but yet interchanged. We...
I walk/run 4 to 5 miles most afternoons. See a ton of Jeepās. I started pointing at them, then give the 2 finger wave. See the same rigs most of the time. Took a couple of weeks, but they started getting it. Donāt have to be IN your Jeep to be a Jeeper! Some of these Jeepās have recognized me...
