  1. Bestop's All Weather Trail Cover is here!

There's a review on Bestop's site that says it leaked a lot in a rainstorm. This is supposed to be waterproof, right?
  2. Is Selec-Trac worth trading in your 2020 Gladiator for a 2021?

I'd be surprised if you didn't need to switch to CVs too.
  3. Is Selec-Trac worth trading in your 2020 Gladiator for a 2021?

It looks like there's also a full time AWD Rock-Trac 4:1 transfer case option for the Rubicon. I kind of wish I went that way, but not enough to trade mine in.
  4. Turning wheel all the way while in 4WD

What @21RG said is correct. Binding has nothing to do with CV joints or universals. Binding has nothing to do with the front and rear axle differentials. Binding is all about the transfer case. The part time 4WD transfer cases in Wranglers and Gladiators do not allow for different rotational...
  5. What generator for a travel trailer and dry camping?

I strongly believe you get what you pay for with portable generators. The more expensive the stuff you are powering, the more you potentially benefit from a better generator. Or you can take your chances with a cheap generator, and maybe you will be absolutely fine. I have a Honda, and it has...
  6. visionx backup lights

What lights will you be using?
  7. Anyone using ski racks with BillieBars?

I'm curious which ski racks you are using and how they fit on the bars with off-center slots (or if you are using ski racks with strap-type mounts).
  8. One thing that sucks about my jeep......slammed doors!

I think this is because these cars lower the window a small amount as the door is about to close and then raise it again once it is latched. If for whatever reason it isn't able to, there is too much air pressure inside the car for the door to latch. I've owned several cars now that do this.
  9. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

I think that was exactly it. He may have even said that. You have to back it way out.
  10. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

SUCCESS!! I managed to get the passenger side done without shearing the regulator bolts. It wasn't easy! I had to get the bolts out a turn or so, then spray some wd40 on the threads, then thread them back in to get the wd40 into the nut. Do it a few times and they start to loosen up. You may...
  11. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

The blue thing and the white thing are the "clips". The clips are attached to the window, and the bolts are attached to the regulator. Once the bolts are threaded out enough (a lot), push in on the bolts and you will push the regulator away from the clips. Then lift up on the window. The clips...
  12. JScan app

Yes, I have that one as well.
  13. JScan app

I won't speak to how common it is or isn't, but it happened to me and it was a big mess because the other app (AlfaOBD) wasn't able to initialize the ABS ECU either. I had dashboard indicators to service ABS, ESC, ACC, and a few other things. It didn't go away by itself after several days and...
  14. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

I'd be super nervous about accidentally melting the plastic clips that the bolts are securing.
  15. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

I did the work in a warm garage and the Jeep had been in there for awhile. I don’t believe temperature was a contributing factor.
  16. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

I think I’ll try to figure out a way to change the harness without disconnecting the window.
  17. AUX switches - what ya running?

Sold out until after Christmas. Oh well. Next year, then. Update: I guess they got in new stock and hadn't updated the website. It shipped last night! Joy!
  18. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

I’m discouraged to hear this. I had the same experience with the driver side regulator bolts. (One sheared off.) I was hoping it was a fluke and the other side would be easy, but I’m guessing now that it won’t be. ā˜¹ļø
  19. Critique My Options List

Proximity door locks 100%. I didn't think I wanted them, so I didn't order them, but I ended up installing them after and love them. Totally worth it to buy them with the truck and avoid the hassle.
