Just test drove this beast today

2020 Rubi with 23k miles. Dealer asking $63k.

This was my first JT test drive. It had a 3.5" RC lift. Rode a little rough but I'm used to my Charger. Had 40x13s. Avg MPG was 12.5 so I doubt it was regeared. That much for a 2020 and that many miles seems too high of a price. I think I can do much better upgraded a Sport S with my exact wants for a fraction of that price. Still was smiling all the way home.

Tell the dealer you want the 4 yr extended range warranty on it...but don't be in his way, cause he'll run you over getting to the crapper. Everything that was added to that vehicle is worth...zilch...nada...nothing...zero. Find out what the base price was at original sell, K Blue Book Value and offer that minus $1k. Negotiate from there. Let him find some other sucker to take it off his lot.

BTW, What do you think the dealership offered for the "Beast" with all the add-ons...zilch, nada, nothing, zero...they subtracted from the value.

Salesman said they installed the work. Also told me they could wrap it for an extra $3K but couldn't tell me the name of the custom shop they use.

And when they approased my trade in they only offered $1500. Kbb at good value is at least $4k.

All in all I got to test drive one with 40" which was my goal. Just on the fence a little about the lift. Original plan was the RC 6" (mostly highway bla bla I know.) My other option is the Skyjacker 4.5. Much more well rounded kit with control arms and track bar. However the RC at least cones with the driveshaft but no control arms, just the brackets to realign the factory control arms.

I would pass on this and never look back. You can do a lot with that much money and a stock truck adding what YOU want.

You will impress your bubbas 2-3 times with your rig and then...its in the shop...costing you lots of moola, that you can't spend on your girl...or at least the one you want. Build it yourself; over time; take pride in it; do the research; be cost conscious; and treat your girl to a steak every once in a while (but not too often, cause then they will be ordering the lobster...OMG...there goes the new tail lights). In all seriousness, back off, take a break; your heart and your loins are doing your thinking right now...engage the big brain. BUT, I know what you're going to do...and 2-3 decades from now you're going to regret it...and you're gonna say, "Mac Attack told me not to...but I did it anyway." And then, you're gonna be where I am, right now. Do better than me Bro.

My current plan is still to go Sport S package and be able to go Gears, Lift, Wheels and Tires right away with what we planned for our budget. Then I can pick away at the bumpers, fenders etc etc.

I figure I can spend around $42K for a Sport S with my selected upgrades using the Google spread sheet here. Add on my aftermarket parts would be $3k for wheels and tires, $1,300 for lift, $2K for gears and install. Puts me at $48,300. We are pretty sure I can get a 6 year payment down to about $280 a month or even get aggressive for the 0% option.

All I need is for GECKO to be released ???. If not it's Granite with Gecko accents ?

??? sound advice from everyone. That's what's Great about this forum. Yeah absolutely agree with everyone about this deal. I know I can do a lot better in price doing it on my own. I can do any install I plan by myself excluding gears. Not gona mess with those.

Why do people like 40s? I don't get it. I think they look goofy personally, to each their own though. Also, I hate those seats and feel like I'd have an imprint on my back when I was done lol. It just looks like it would be uncomfortable.

Seems really pricey for what it is honestly. Sure some cool things, but seats are not worth as much as you think. My buddy got katzkins installed in his camaro a few months ago for $1200. 40s on stock axles is a bad mix in general, stock gearing would be bad but something I would expect out of a dealer. honestly if you want to go that big get a base sport S and build it up cheaper with what you want and right size axels and gears.
