I tried several things... finally ponied up for some KikBax... I absolutely reccomend them.
I put a golfball on my foot peg to keep the kids eyes intact, that's the only gripe.

I'm back into this club.....
My dealer warrantied basically my whole top end at 35k miles for a heavy tick. They replaced all 4 cams, and all associated rockers.
Now I'm at 64k (warranty out.....) and its started ticking again.
My question is..... Is their warranty work covered under...
I'd say it's perfect. i can wheel in 4hi for most mild stuff, and still keep 4lo in reserve for when needed.
4.10 would be OK, and I'm planning on bumping up to 37" next, the only thing i'm not a huge fan of is running 2,700rpm to cruise 83...
Finally paid attention while backing up, after the engine was warmed up... it idled in reverse at 3mph and 600rpm. Was totally "normal"..... So it occurs to me, most times i'm in R the engine's freshly cranked and trying to wake itself up.
Also, regarding the smoothness of shifting the first 3...
My happiness came with the centerforce swap, but I had already re-geared to 4.56.
1st gear idles at 3mph, reverse is still too fast at like 5ish mph.
I noticed that 1st gear idles at like the normal 600rpm range, whereas reverse seems to engage a "high idle" condition closer to 1000rpm.
What...
I grew up in Jasper (Ozarks, buffalo, etc) but have lived in central Arkansas for 10 years.
My favorite wheeling/camping in the state is in the Piney Creek WMA north of Dover, East of Hwy7.
The route you can "overland" is known as the "High Water Mark Trail" and winds through some scenic...
I had someone cut through (3) layers of vinyl to get in the cab.... The horn started blowing upon their egress through the front door.... the back cab window and the back topper window could be replaced, but the front topper vinyl is part of the whole canopy. luckily insurance paid...
I dunno...
*Edit - I got fact checked on the layer order, but everything else is still real news*
I've seen mixed reviews on how much tougher the Mopar GG is... I have the HGP version, and I will personally vouch for its strength and toughness. The difference between the two is whether the GG layer is on...
SO I'm heavily considering one of these, and I have a suspicion that needs confirmed; these aren't finished, are they? Just a black primer?
Seeing comments about powder coating somewhat confirms that, I may go with bed liner.
Exactly my favorite feature, the flywheel to torque you out of a hole or over a rock if you're stopped on one!
The two main things I did NOT want to do until I got this clutch in:
1.) take off on a boat ramp with an audience and a boat,
2.) back up for 3-point turns on switchbacks of death...
I'm not exactly sure what happened, but mine went from biting right off the floor mat to biting about 40% of the way up the other day. I know the instructions say that's how it's supposed to work (bleeding instructions indicate it should engage 1/2 way up), but it coincided with my wife driving...
Yeah similar here. It was $1134 when I ordered last August, then I called in February to give them my new non-expired CC number, they put in a new order in the same place in line. At that point it had dropped to $940ish.
Then they added hydraulics to all the kits, a year later I got a $1700...
Wheeled bridal veil road, Ophir pass, and Imogene pass this week with my freshly broken-in CF clutch.
The flywheel, my 4.56 gears, the confidence of bite, all added up to an amazing experience!
I would have been second guessing every 3-point switchback without it.
In, Done, and Happy!
Started at 9:00a.m. Saturday, finished at 2:00a.m.. 17hrs minus a little break for lunch and dinner and to check in on the Razorbacks. I was working on a garage floor, on a creeper, with one assistant and all the tools I could possibly need.
Some notes:
The plastic...
I dunno how many of you have seen this thread, but it's an interesting and kinda nerve-wracking read.
