  1. Roadtrip!!!

Fenton Mo. looks like they have 2 locations, both with some waggy’s. https://www.wallys.com/locations/
  2. Is using auto start stop worth it?

To a degree, my findings all appear to have a healthy dose of cherry-picking and/or confirmation bias for those with longer idle times, typical of city scenarios. I’m still unable to find results that include a healthy statistical sample size of at least 400 that spans the wide variety of...
  3. Is using auto start stop worth it?

Edmunds talks about the improved build quality, also referring to AGM batteries as longer lived ( I disagree, b/c I can’t find a 5year nor 7year warranty around here for agm )
  4. Is using auto start stop worth it?

@ShadowsPapa thank you for monitoring the threads so closely
  5. Is using auto start stop worth it?

Yep, I’m not a fan of being fodder for some so called influencer, that sucks.
  6. Is using auto start stop worth it?

Crap, the more you know, the more that you realize that there is so much to learn. How many freaking test cycles are there, and who/how do they pick which cycle for their results?
  7. Is using auto start stop worth it?

It does seem impressive for those that would typically have longer idle times.
  8. Is using auto start stop worth it?

This doesn’t read, to me, like it’s representative for the vast majority of folks that live outside of the demographic for areas that don’t have very many stop lights.
  9. Is using auto start stop worth it?

My mean/mode time while stopped and idling is less than 3s, often times at a 3-way or 4-way stop sign, just long enough to make a legal stop. In city traffic, where folks are stopped at lights for 20s or more, sure, I agree with you. It’s signs vs lights. In the US, roughly half of the...
  10. Roadtrip!!!

I didn’t make out the hood ornament on the white one; there’s a YT vid on it that I need to watch
  11. Roadtrip!!!

The wife and I take mini road trips in our gladiators as often as we can. Sometimes we don’t go that far. Today’s rainy adventure brought us to these classic wagoners, as a salute to those folks that like to take their Jeep on a road trip.
  12. Battery Cut-off switch for both Main and Aux Battery?

@okiesnake i think some members came up with some crafty ways to utilize a battery tender, and I think @ShadowsPapa was one of them. Your question is interesting, for a non 4xE, b/c your approach would also prevent ( or greatly reduce ) the possibility of a fire caused by a short somewhere...
  13. Is using auto start stop worth it?

That video was filled with a bunch of nonsense statements, for sure.
  14. Is using auto start stop worth it?

Recharging the the battery doesn’t come for free.
  15. Looks like I'm coming back. Mojave or Rubicon?

If you want to crawl rocks, then get a rubicon, in a wrangler; LJ to be specific. Mojave is fantastic for those unimproved roads; you can even add Apex disconnects. either one will do great on 35s if you don’t go too wide. all other cases, go for sport max tow, overland, willy, or whatever.
  16. I vote for a small block Chevrolet.

Yeah, I very well had my numbers wrong. Neither of my novas were particularly fast in the 1/4 mi, but they did alright by me in the top end.
  17. I vote for a small block Chevrolet.

I like the sound of a small block v8, and ideally low maintenance. When I drive my JT with its pentastar v6, I do draw correlations between it and my old ā€˜77 novas. 1 had a straight 6 that would never die, and the other was a 305 v8. That 305 v8 produced ( I think ) just under 300hp, which is...
  18. I vote for a small block Chevrolet.

Well, a small block Chevy wasn’t an option over there.
