  1. Coverking headliner installed with sound deadening material. Lowered sound decibels in cabin significantly

I did another decibel test today, came back at 66-67ish. Windier day than last night but still great results.
  2. Coverking headliner installed with sound deadening material. Lowered sound decibels in cabin significantly

Without a doubt. The deadener itself is like road tar. Dense and heavy for what it is. I was still able to pick it up myself and get it back on but I don’t think most could.
  3. Coverking headliner installed with sound deadening material. Lowered sound decibels in cabin significantly

Does not. Ordered from Amazon. Make sure to also order rollers to adhere it to the roof. Deadener works by preventing vibration (sounds) from getting through. If you don’t get proper adhesion it’s pointless.
  4. Coverking headliner installed with sound deadening material. Lowered sound decibels in cabin significantly

Ha! Thanks. Overall I’m happy with it. I was thinking it would have an insulating layer, it is essentially mounded thick speaker ish shag. Nicer than that but similar. That said, it clearly stops the sound from bouncing around the cabin and is worth it. After install there is still...
  5. Coverking headliner installed with sound deadening material. Lowered sound decibels in cabin significantly

One other thing. I did have almost full coverage of the sound dampener on the freedom panels too. That pic wasn’t the finished coverage. I figured if I’m taking the time to do it might as well do it right!
  6. Coverking headliner installed with sound deadening material. Lowered sound decibels in cabin significantly

I’ll retest today but based on drive #1 it’s a big improvement, no more echo chamber off the hardtop. They say 2-3 decibels down with just the headliner so I think the sound dampener made the difference. Took 5-6 hours to do everything.
  7. Coverking headliner installed with sound deadening material. Lowered sound decibels in cabin significantly

I’ll get some better pics but here’s a couple. It really gives the interior a more finished look, the stereo sounds better and wind noise is reduced from the top of the freedom panels. It wasn’t a perfect fit after the sound dampener was added, but it’s pretty close. I’m going to pull the...
  8. Coverking headliner installed with sound deadening material. Lowered sound decibels in cabin significantly

My coverking headliner came today and thus far, love it. Sound deadened the entire cap. Went from 70-72 decibels to 65 @ 70 mph.
  9. Building my own flush tail lights

I’m in! ? Great thread and I’d be happy to be a prototype tester for you!
  10. Adios!!!

    Agreed
  11. Adios!!!

OP, a lot of haters out there that think it’ll be a constant issue. I think it’s way overblown, particularly on s forum for Jeeps. Not exactly branded on reliability... I view RR ownership like parenting. “Bigger kids, bigger issues.” In this case it’s, “more expensive car, more expensive...
  12. Adios!!!

Good choice. I was trying to talk my wife into the Defender, she ended up going with a 22 Velar last year. It’s not gonna be quite as capable, but it’s a hell of a lot more comfortable. I love my Gladiator but I can’t say I blame you.…. Best of luck..
  13. The "No Complaints" Thread

21 High Altitude, got it with 4k miles on it, last August, 28k on it now with nothing other than a windshield and alignment (which they screwed up on…). Have done a few mods but mechanically it’s been great. Absolutely love it and primarily is a highway driver for work and a hauler on the...
  14. I've become disillusioned with my Jeep

What does your alignment look like? I had mine done at farm and feet on a Sunday…. Should have gone to a good shop knowledgeable about jeeps. Pulled a hair to the left, turns out it was my stabilizer. Anyway…the only thing they changed was the toe. Immediately following that it wobbled at...
  15. Am I crazy for thinking I want a Gladiator?

Trade in the Maverick for the Gladiator and sell the Charger if the novelty doesn’t wear off. My wife drove a BMW X6 with the Twin Turbo V8 with AWD for a while. I LOVED the speed but would rather drive the JT 8 out of ten times. The freedom and feel of knowing I can take the top off and go...
  16. Mopar Brake Controller install requires programming?

No programming needed. Maybe if you don’t have the tow package but as long as you have it you should be good to go.
  17. (delete if possible) ignore this

That looks an awful lot like my moms sweat shop (a.k.a. quilting room). The question is, who spends more money, you on your Jeep or your wife quilting? ?
  18. (delete if possible) ignore this

No, that cold air intake is probably reducing your gas mileage, letting more crap into your engine and producing less horsepower. But it’s louder so go for it!!!
