After waiting all this time since beginning of March, I would really like to have my @SmartCap but, I found out my local outfitter has one Alu Cab explorer in stock. With my patience thinning, and no RSI ETA in sight, Iām really starting to lean towards taking advantage of this opportunity.
Relations Race Wheels RR-7h hybrid beadlocks 17ā -25 offset. A fantastic looking rootbeer bronze. But be prepared for the absolute worst customer service and attitude if you ever need something from the company. Unless you absolutely love the look of them and want hybrid beadlocks, I strongly do...
It started making a horrible grinding noise and wouldnāt allow the Jeep to return the wheel to center. Upon inspection we even saw metal shavings coming out of the shaft/bushing area. We reached out to Metalcloak about it and heard nothing back, so we removed it as we were on a time crunch for...
First off I see you are new, welcome to the forum!
FYI This is the Build and Rig Journal Section, this should have been posted in Lighting Tech Section instead, you'll find more help there.
Introducing: THE CHUCKWAGON, my 2022 JTRD!
Alright, So I have been delaying posting this build sheet for too long now, so I'm finally going to give this a shot. This tab on my computer has been open way too long.
The name comes from the fact I want to turn this jeep into the ultimate camping...
I have a diesel with the xl long rockbloks, and -25 offset wheels. I think they stick out around 3 inches. The rears cover the tires when extended fully, and I have had no issues with the exhaust as the other guy mentioned. The fronts cover almost all of the tire width, but not quite. Reduced...
Ok wait, yāall are using funnels..? I just pour my hotshots right in through the mouth, I figured it just gets past the flap. Iāve never seen it spill anywhere?
I would honestly wait before dropping the cash on a sector shaft brace. I am super picky about my steering as well, and I honestly could not tell a difference between having it on or off. Try it without it, and itll be super easy to add later if you feel there's the need.
Maybe it was the bushing, that would make the most sense. I had my local outfitter put that one in and take it off. He mentioned when removing it seeing small amounts of metal shavings. The bushing being the softest metal right there, i'm guessing that is where the issue was. We were two days...
Heads up: I had to take off my Metalcloak sector shaft brace as we could not get it to stop binding up and making a horrid creaking sound. Reached out to Metalcloak for a solution, and as far as i know havent heard anything back.
Iāve had OnX, Gaia, and Avenza leave me high and dry all at once onetime in the backcountry. Did not like that at all, had to paper map my way out.
After that experience i paid whatās honestly a ridiculous amount of money for the Garmin Tread Overland 8ā, so I would have a constant satellite...
You got me curious about this, so I dug in for some research and clearer answers:

This thread should give some answers for you. Looks like Clayton doesnt mention it because it has to do with the...
For clarification, this is a used one correct? Because the brand new ones are in stock and on sale for $15 more than you've listed. Possibly why you have no bites. I could be interested if your price was lower than a new one.
