Finally the day has come to get my cap on, Iām really excited with how it turned out. Weāll be scooting the Ikamper back a bit more, but other than that it worked great. Glad that the platform rack from my cancelled RSI SmartCap order still worked out!
Well after a nice long trip up the coast of the Olympic peninsula the torrential rains of the PNW finally caused that wiper arm to saw through my tubing. Looks like Iāll be doing the proper hose routing now. How did you guys warranty yours out, since getting a new one is the only way to get...
I have no real technical basis on this fix, this is a new one for me. But Iād take the wiring diagram for hooking up those parts and check the associated ground connections for coming loose, since you have so many ground related errors
i mean its no more connected to the vehicle than a winch or a compressor is, just a power and a ground. With a spare fuse lid, i could have it out and back to stock in about 10 minutes.
Even so, I am not in a position to have to worry what a dealer thinks.
i honestly donāt know yet what Iām going to do with it, it came with the mounting kit. Maybe pull power off there for things I may want to keep switched somewhere else, or constant hot⦠radios, compressor, fridge⦠Iāve been asking around other guys with powertrays seeing what they use that one for.
hereās a side view when I was marking my drilling locations on the lid. I did end up trimming the bolts down and using a thinner nut, the clearances are pretty tight over some of the relays inside.
i got the risers from powertrays with the universal kit, I just asked for 8 instead of 4.
with the SDI underneath, thereās a couple other things youāll have to do, and you will have some clearance issues most likely, but it does work.
Iād reach out to powertrays, no idea how long itāll be before they do something. The universal kit works well enough.
Itās attached using 1.5 inch risers bolted to the top of the fuse box lid, sealed with rubber washers. The normal kit comes with .75 inch risers, thatās all you need. I doubled...
I don't think I have seen anyone else on here try this before, so I wanted to make sure to share it with y'all.
I know some Diesel members have been interested in a Powetrays style solution for the SwitchPro that would fit in our engine bays. I decided to try and make their universal mount fit...
I get ya. Iām not sure what all youād need at minimum to use the springs and shocks. But even if youād just bought the springs and shocks Iād likely include everything else just to get rid of it if you want it. Iād think if the springs add lift over the non rubicon setup, youād probably need the...
Here is some photos I took yesterday, Iāve cleaned up the shocks but havenāt had a chance to wipe down the rest yet.
Iād be willing to ship at your cost, though thatās a lot to ship, Iād have to figure out how to do that.
No the fuse block has nothing to do with the switchpro. This is a powertray actually.. their Jeep one will not work with the diesel. So Iām building this one out with Powertrays so that they can hopefully create a diesel option.
The one that they would sell wouldnāt have these issues Iām having...
I donāt think itāll be an issue⦠I swallowed the pill of not having my symmetric wire rainbow and just wrapped them up good. Now that they are bunched up I was able to shift the reservoir at least most of the way back to its original position.
A series of decisions running into each other are to blame here⦠mostly the position I mounted my SDI controller brain thing on top of the fuse box. Now Iām wanting to float a power tray over that, which barely clears the hood and the sdi computer. So itās forced me into a position where I have...
