Thought I’d drop some photos in here for the gasser one from various angles. It looks like it could add at least some to the blind spot for a driver.
There is one speed bump near my house that does this, I had dismissed it initially but your post makes me want to look into it more. I’m on a Clayton 3.5 lift.
Also, I recall seeing at least one video where a diesel just hit a larger puddle too hard and it killed the motor. It doesn’t take water up to the intake to cause hydrolock.
Where I am it’s very dusty in the summer months, so I want one with a cyclone pre-filter to catch particulate. I’m not really thinking about water crossings at all.
I have the alpine system as well, and replaced my front speakers with Terra a week ago. Happy to report that the speakers are a massive improvement over the alpine high-end sound, and helped fill the mids sound as well. Super easy install, definitely worth it.
