  1. For those of you running 37s

I am running 37's x 12.5 on 9's with a -12mm offset, and had no rubbing at stock Rubicon height. Im lifted now, same wheel and tire set up, and as you would guess...still no rub, but now I can flex lol. Be careful running 12.5's or wider on the 7 wide wheels. All of the shops I called to get my...
  2. RK 4.5 inch Diesel X Factor No Limits...Pros/Cons, Other 4.5 Options for diesel?

We tried both ways, just got a picture of it this way. The spring was for the JL, which is totally different than the JT rear.
  3. Journey of a Jeep build, MD

Absolutely! They had everything I needed, ad it was great being able to get underneath of the rig. And thanks! I am a little skeptical on how well these springs will do based on some other stuff I see in the forums, but Ill stick with them, and upgrade to RK if need be.
  4. Noise from suspension(?) help

I just installed my lift, and experienced this too...except for a much dumber reason. I didnt realize my EVO rear springs were for a JL, so they didnt seat correctly. This cause the springs to compress outward instead of straight down, bonking on the frame and whatever else was around it. Same...
  5. Offroad Tips for newbie

Pretty new myself... Put that thing in 4-lo when you start crawling. I Had mine in 4-hi thinking I could control the gas/break well enough to reduce bounce...nope. 4-lo will help you take it nice and slow over the big stuff.
  6. RK 4.5 inch Diesel X Factor No Limits...Pros/Cons, Other 4.5 Options for diesel?

Alright, end of the story: Was able to short order some Rubicon Express 4.5 inch rear springs in time to make my alignment the next day. Here is the finished product, MetalCloak, Evo fronts, RubExp rear:
  7. Journey of a Jeep build, MD

Alright, all straightened up. I spoke with the shop that sold me the kit...they are super reputable, but specialize in MetalCloak...so when EVO gave them the part numbers for the springs, they didnt notice they were for the JL. They offered to order me the correct set, but I opted to just get...
  8. Journey of a Jeep build, MD

Looks like these are the rear spings for the JL. Gonna do some calling around tomorrow to make sure, and try to get the issue fixed.
  9. Journey of a Jeep build, MD

Alright, big updates! I started the install on the JT yesterday...Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience. I used the auto skills garage on base, so had a full lift, which I imagined saved my back a bit. Taking off the control arms was fine, once I got my hands on a breaker bar. The...
  10. RK 4.5 inch Diesel X Factor No Limits...Pros/Cons, Other 4.5 Options for diesel?

Give me a few more days and Ill tell you lol I started install yesterday, and finished up today. Overall....not bad. I didnt run into any issues removing/installing anything...although the locker disconnect was difficult, and the front trackbar was difficult to connect frame side. I have to...
  11. Jeepers of Maryland

I'll be in an auto center, so hopefully I can keep it to 7 hours as well (or less)! Good to know about the swaybar links. I'll be replacing those and the control arms...maybe that will make up for the breakfast and lunch break!
  12. Jeepers of Maryland

Hell yea, very nice! Thats a good looking stance. How was it? This saturday I am installing my lift...any tips?
  13. Control Arm length for 4.5 inch lift

Good to know. I got a place in mind for the alignment then.
  14. Control Arm length for 4.5 inch lift

I appreciate the response. It seems like that's the best way to go about it! Ill be taking it in for an alignment afterwards as well. Thank you!
  15. Control Arm length for 4.5 inch lift

Good morning everyone! Next week I am going to be installing a 4.5 Metal Cloak gamechanger onto my Rubicon. The kit is for a 3.5, but I swapped out the 3.5's for 4.5's, so the instructions wont be accurate. If I want a castor of 6, does anyone know what I should be extending the control arms...
  16. Non Rubicon Ecodiesel Lift - why if no weight difference.

I dont know if it really matters, just go with quality. Think about allllll the stuff you see on these overlanding rigs with 3.6's... Refrigerators, bed racks, roof racks, roof top tents, there are people heavier than you driving these jeeps too, and somethings have multiple passengers weighing...
  17. Jeepers of Maryland

Thats a good deal! I plan on selling some in the future, but was considering charging a lot more. Why so low?
  18. Jeepers of Maryland

Welcome! I grew up out on KI, good to have you!
  19. Jeepers of Maryland

Yea, it made a big difference...I'm not quite sure what I expected, but everything is accurate now, and driving it just feels...smoother.
