They require a 1/4” hole to be drilled in the fender along with mounting where the factory did in front. There is no gaps. It’s a great kit. You can see the bolt in this picture.
Installed these today. Great quality and super easy install. I wanted some more room under the flares and it accomplishes what I wanted. I gained about 2 inches. Who doesn’t want an extra 2 inches….

Pretty simple fix for those of you that have a small lift or spacer. Measure the amount of shock shaft showing, then measure how much space you have from the bumpstop to the pad. Then cut down the bump stop spacer to match the shock shaft length. Or if cutting isn’t possible, get some...
I agree. There is absolutely zero need to regear the diesel. Zero. Nothing wrong with regearing, just not needed. It’s a different animal to the anemic, yet reliable gas motor. After installing 37s on mine I couldn’t even tell a difference. The power is terrific.
Even if you rub a little at full turn, adjust your steering stops a couple turns. You won’t notice it. I wish I had the wider axles, I would have used stock Rubicon wheels instead of aftermarket.
