Those that know understand, some of those that don’t, hate. It’s cool. No one is trying to convince anyone otherwise. There’s more than one way to skin a cat. Use what you want. This was a thread about my experience. I don’t care to hear from those that haven’t.
If I had owned a Rubicon, I...
It has a bit more body roll, but to me that’s a good thing because it also makes for a very comfortable ride on the street. No more head bobble side to side. It really made a huge difference. I even went with the soft bar over the one they recommended for the JT.
Since I didn’t opt for the Rubicon I needed some sort of sway bar disconnect. I decided on the AntiRock for several reasons. Number one was ride quality, then ease of use and price vs the so called “quick disconnects“. Yes they are expensive but very high quality and with the combo of the Rancho...
The only thing that will help would be stiffer shocks. The Mohave is made for running across the desert with a soft compliant ride. There are trade offs for this. You’re going to get some sway on the highway with such soft suspension. No way around it.
Try a set of Rancho 9000XLs. They are adjustable and ride terrific. They are a great shock with a lifetime no questions asked warrantee. They aren’t flashy like foxes but ride 100 times better and you can adjust them where you want them.
Living in Mass you’ll want to spray the adjusters...
Yes they’re ugly and tear up your paint too. That was on the way home. The dealer didn’t remove them and I didn’t want them touching it. The are long since gone.
I’m not running the rears. I wouldn’t mind them sagging a little in the front. I’m giving them time to do so so I can see if I need a bit more spacer in the rear.
No not really. They won’t touch. They are as flexed as they will get. The bowing is coming from the front axle being pulled over from the lift. It doesn’t bother me and won’t hurt anything not having an adjustable track bar.
I gotcha. But if your only issue was an adjuster that’s a silly issue. Get a whole new shock with much better adjustability than a regular off the shelf fox. Been there done that. Try sending back a leaking Fox. :CWL:Most of my wheeling is hard on crap. Never an issue. For His need the Rancho...
I have used them for years. Wheeling Holy Cross to Moab and never an issue except one broken adjuster. They have a lifetime warranty and sent out an entire new shock that same day. This is not in any way an issue. Try that with a factory Fox shock.
You’re going to need a different shock. Order a set of adjustable Ranchos. 9000XLs. This will address your issues. They are inexpensive and work very well depending on your load. The factory springs and a spacer won’t fix your issue.
Also, if you didn’t loosen your control arms in the rear when...
I just installed 3.5 MC springs along with king bumps. The springs seems to have given me right at 3”. We will see if they sag. I was having the same issues with the factory springs and 2.5 RC spacers. Im also running Rancho adjustable shocks that are terrific with this setup.
