Sorry for your trouble but I'm glad I chose the gas version rather than the diesel I was tempted to buy. Not trying to be a smart ass here, but there are just too many problems with the diesels in Jeeps today in my view. Not sure how Jeep can price these things so high with these kinds of...
You have Les Schwab Tire stores in California. Go get a set of tire chains from them. If you never use them just keep receipt and they will buy them back.
Much of today’s wiring insulation is made from vegetable based products because, after all, it has to be green, right? Furry rodents like the stuff but never seen them chow down on a battery before. This is big problem if you live in places with lots of field mice like farms etc. I have my booat...
Recently bought and installed a Mopar OEM bumper on my JTR. Installed a Warn winch at same time. Install went fine. My vehicle has Halogen head and fog lights from factory. The new bumper came with LED fog lights. They plug in okay but when I turn the fog lights on they light for an instant and...
I get your point. Some pf the narrative written with Chinese products is beyond bad. I tend to look at websites and product narrative as a function of quality. I’m done buying china junk and typically go out of my way to buy US stuff if I can.
Agree with you. Frankly, the Gladiator is not the rock crawler that the JL or JK are. Could have something to do with it. I bought mine for over landing long distances where crawling over stuff isnt preferred. I for one got tired of fixing the JK/LS3 I had. Just too expensive.
As someone who has towed a trailer that was just below max weight for my vehicle I would tell you to get a bigger tow rig or go smaller on the trailer. You will load far more on your rig than you realize and towing at max weight is not much fun unless it’s just around the local area. We all...
You have a Jeep you can't drive or park in your garage due to fire danger and no one can tell you when it will be fixed and you probably can't even sell it as it is. And you still can't make a decision?
Might be a good fix for the tech but wouldn't be for me. I always want to be sure what a problem is before deciding what to do about it. If he is correct, then waiting puts microscopic metal particles into your oil which will cause you premature problems down the road. Get it fixed now. And find...
My JTR 4x4 shift lever is VERY stiff and does not want to move smoothly. Very annoying especially from a company who has been making off road vehicles since three days after water was invented. I went out to a gravel road and spent a half hour shifting the lever in and out of 4x4 and it helped...
You don't need me, I have just enough thinking power to be dangerous. I just think that in the year 2024, the common issue of engine cooling should not be a problem for so many people driving Jeeps. So much of heating issues is self-caused I think. I would urge anyone with cooling issues on any...
Yes, correct. The plastic valance under the front bumper of stock JK's appears to actually help the air existing under the Jeep by creating a low pressure area behind it, thus helping the high pressure area inside the engine compartment evacuate the hot air more efficiently. Physics is your...
Okay, conceding your point:) I did a lot of testing with my LS3 converted JK a few years ago when I didn't like the way the engine temp was fluctuating. I used yarn and taped pieces about four inches long to various spots on the front of my JK and then had my wife drive it a varying speeds so I...
What is all that stuff on the pic accompanying your comment? What does all that stuff weigh? That grille treatment affects air intake to the radiator for sure. Jeeps are about as aerodynamic as a shipping grate and anything you put in front of that grille opening affects air intake and cooling...
I bought a warn winch and warn winch plate. The built in winch plates on many many bumpers are not engineered well and put too much stress in wrong place. The winch plate should be designed to protect the frame ends and put little or no stress on the bumper. The warn does so based on my research.
I'm 6"2" as well and I bought the .75" seat jackers for my JT. Both my wife and I agree the comfort is much better with this slight adjustment to the seat angle. I previously had a JK and it was very comfortable from a seat perspective. Not sure what happened with the JT but they didn't get the...
