Yep, I have the one in the third link although it is called something else like all Chinese made stuff. It is very robust and works as well as any I have used. There is a certain "art" to using these things as someone else says but the more you use them and the result improves.
Agreed. I do balance the weight in the trailer but weight is weight and I didn't do a good job in explaining my meaning in previous comment I guess. Just trying to say that whether it is a 5000 lb RV trailer or a 2,500 lb boat, center of gravity and mass matter and the faster you go the more the...
Yeah, I have the AEV and it works fine so long as the vehicle is reasonably level. Have bought a lot of AEV products over the years and have yet to be disappointed in any.
All true but looking closely at the pic, it shows he is sitting on one side of the street crown and trailer is on the other side so hitch looks high. Not sure when the rig is all perfectly level. When I tow my boat with transom drive empty, it tows much different once I stow all the gear in it...
Sorry for your bad luck, but customer service is dead in America. My Jeep dealer salesman lied with a smile on his face, and I knew it. They don’t care, their job is selling cars. The dealership cheated me out of $700 and then lied to me about it. They don’t care. My neighbor who lives next to...
I drive sll over the country with mine. I was very disappointed in how my JTR drove when I bought it. Had a Colorado ZR2 previously and Jk’s before that. The JTR has mushy springs and shocks from the factory. If you like that kind of ride, then my answer is just slow down while driving it with a...
Just because you can run 37"'s with no lift does not mean it's a good idea. I was shocked how mushy my 2023 JTR's suspension was when I drove it home. I cured it by adding an AEV lift with 37"'s. If you just add the very heavy 37"'s to an already mushy suspension, you are not helping yourself...
Makes about as much sense as anything today so I'm going with it. The 37"'s rotate slower than the 35"'s at the same speed so seems like the tire rotating the fastest, all other things being equal, should make more noise. Oh well, they work well and less expensive than many others so I'm using them.
My current set are the MT2’s. They look same as the original so jury is out on what my wear mileage will be. Just dont understand why all the 35’s I had were not noisy but this set of 37’s are. If they wear well then I can live with the added sound from them I guess. Had lots of different tires...
I have had numerous sets of Milestar Patagonia MT’s in 35” and 37”. I got 60k from one set of 35”s. The 37”s I now run on my JT are wearing well but they are much noiseyer than the 35”s were. Noot sure why. Currently running the 02 version. The tires are rugged as heck and I have never had a...
I agree. I just havent had time to get the rig regeared yet but doing do this summer. Thanks for reaffirming the 4.88s are good choice. I don’t rock crawl with it, just over landing. .
Ditto. I drive 70 with 4.10s and typically in 6th gear on level road with minimal load. I get 16.5mpg if no head wind. In town mileage sucks. Is this a good combo? No. Does it work? Yes. Does it hurt the transmission? No. Am I going to regear? Yes, to 4.88. Why? To get transmission shift points...
I've had more winches than I can remember over the years. I currently have a 12K Warn on my JT. I have a Warn winch cover but there is no way to install in with the JT steel bumper simply being too tight and close to the winch. Having said that, I have never covered a winch. I do not buy...
