I seem to remember going around it on the left, but that was pretty dicey too. Then while we were picking our way around a guy in a beat up CJ7 just drove in and up and over it without any hesitation.
This morning I drove to the lumberyard for some plywood for an ongoing remodeling project. Then this afternoon, my son in law worked on repurposing an old swimming pool deck to make a lower deck... first we had to flip it over to cut the legs shorter:
Then after cutting the legs shorter, we...
It's normal, you're trying to force the wheels to rotate at the same rate when they're following a different radius and thus a different distance. That's why you're not supposed to use 4WD on hard surfaces.
I bought a base Sport specifically because I didn't want any of that stuff. I was amazed I could still buy a vehicle with hand crank windows in 2023! OK, a couple of days this winter I admit I missed having remote start, but that's about it.
There's been some mentions of this as a thing that exists, but not explanation: With the auto trans (mine is a 23 base Sport), a certain amount of pressure on the brake pedal makes the tranny downshift to provide some engine braking. It's a nice feature, I think, but it would be better if it...
Put the top down and took the scenic route through the state forest on the way home from the airport yesterday. Nothing even remotely hardcore but it was pretty soggy from the recent rains, water axle deep in some spots.
GPS location doesn't depend on cell coverage. However, getting the maps from the internet requires cell or wifi. Many mapping maps (dunno about X Offroat or Gaia) allow you to download the area of interest to your device in advance, then you'll have access to it when you're offline.
That's...
BTW, is it possible to buy the RFID chip separately and program it to the vehicle? Or do I have to buy another fob to cannibalize? I like the idea of the Threedom key ring with the chip, leaving the huge fob behind (since mine has no buttons anyway), but I'd prefer to leave my two existing...
Nope. My fob has no buttons but still has a battery. The RFID is very short range; if the battery is dead you have to have the fob very close to the start button (the manual says to use the fob to push the button in this case).
I got this one, they say 5000# capacity. No problems so far, though I've only used it with a very light trailer for dump runs.

True, packaged Coleman fuel is, I think, a newer thing. When I was younger you could still go to an Amoco station and get "clear unleaded", i.e. gasoline with no additives, but I don't think anybody sells such a thing any more, except for maybe the unleaded and non ethanol fuel sold in hardware...
