Does the spare tire normally have a TPMS sensor, or is there any point to having one?
I ask because tonight I'm picking up a set of 2020 Mojave takeoffs to put on my 23 Sport. I know I'll have to replace the sensors with ones compatible with the 23, but the spare (I'm getting 5 wheels, but the...
It took four visits, but I'm cautiously optimistic that it might be fixed.
First time when I took it in for the oil change, they forgot to look at the electronics. Second visit (scheduled for just this), they said it was a "bad radio" and the service guy who told me that seemed to think it was...
Probably all of these have been answered before but good to summarize:
Want to go bigger on my stock 23 Sport (not max tow, no lift). Looking at a local set of takeoffs (Falken AT LT285/70R17 on alloy wheels), but there's some question whether they're from a Rubi or Mojave... how do I tell the...
When you use the brakes, it's using mechanical friction to absorb the vehicle's energy, causing wear of the pads and discs, increased heat to the wheel bearings and seals, etc. When you use engine braking, it's using fluid friction and the work of pumping air, which does not (directly) cause...
Dunno if this is related, but in the past few days I've gotten an error when connecting my phone (android auto) saying something about a security issue and the time not matching (and indeed when I look the vehicle click is showing an hour earlier, i.e. not DST). Then it connects and the vehicle...
I understand that it's unrelated to my phone's cell service, but it still uses the cell network (AT&T if I'm not mistaken?). I do live out in the sticks where cell service is spotty, but the warning popup doesn't coincide with places where the cell signal is bad, or in the same place from day...
On a pretty regular basis I get the message on the touchscreen, "Connected services requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer", and the lights on the overhead assist and SOS buttons turn red. Click ok to dismiss the message, and a bit later (minutes or hours) the lights turn green...
Most likely they're single wires going to the computer, could be disconnected under the dash somewhere and connected to something else. Probably need a relay to handle any real current and/or to latch something on/off. Unless somebody already sold a replacement switch block to replace the...
I found it necessary to use a long extension to get the ratchet handle out to where I had enough leverage, then it came off reasonably easy. There is enough male thread for another but but the small top of the factory locknut doesn't make for a very solid surface for the bracket.

The graph in that app is just stupid. A-h/h (ampere-hours per hour) is just... amperes.
"Amperes per hour" is meaningless. Amperes is current, which already includes a per time factor (1 ampere equals 1 coulomb per second). Ampere-hours is a measure of battery capacity; multiply A-h by...
