Yep, I realized that one when I was looking at the Easter Jeep Safari magazine, I was thinking of heading out there next year, now I don't know how much I want to chance it.

Utah will be zero problem. I’ve taken mine many times. Mine is tame and normal compared to most. Just don’t speed in Moab. :)

It was yesterday but I spent about an hour and a half in the hills by my house testing out my suspension upgrade on the whoops and did some climbing on the steep stuff up to about 30 degrees. I have a GoPro video but I want to edit out the average stuff to leave the highlights before I publish it.
The AEV 2” Mojave spacer lift is feeling pretty good. It’s more rigid than before the upgrade and doesn’t roll side to side as much. My test in the whoops was pretty good. I was pushing it to hit the bump stops and it took quite a bit more before hitting and the hits aren’t as hard as before.
More fun to come.

Put the top down and took the scenic route through the state forest on the way home from the airport yesterday. Nothing even remotely hardcore but it was pretty soggy from the recent rains, water axle deep in some spots.

I've said it many times but can almost promise you in another 20 years you wont be able to drive anything 'legally' that has anything other than a fully factory stock of the showroom floor component. And it's all political unfortunately.

I made it down to Twin Points at Grand Canyon Parashant National Monument. Over 150 solo miles off roading the last 3 days to get here. I'll be doing a full write up of the trip when I make it back.

Looks like a nice adventure. How do you like that T3?
I like the Gazelle T3. It's pretty easy to setup however, if there's going to be any wind you have to stake out the sides or the wind will push them back in. I didn't like the stakes it came with so I picked up some 12" solid steel round steaks which you need in this rocky terrain. It feels very roomy inside with the near vertical sides and there's enough room for me to sleep on a cot and my two dogs to sleep on the ground next to me. I would have preferred the added interior height of the T4 but it wouldn't have fit inside my Alu-Cab.

Thanks for the response, I've been looking at the T3 and T4 and their Tandems. I like the T3 because it'll fit in the bed under my tonneau, but was concerned about the height, I'm on 5'10" but still. The T4s a bit roomier but is long in the bag, I would have to stow on my rack. Which sticky fingers may be tempted to walk away with it while I'm parked during travels. I'm sure the Tandems would be similar situation.

This appears to be vehicle registration in Utah. As a former LEO I admit I hated all things traffic but we did not hassle out of state drivers for equipment issues. What's legal in state A might not be in state B so there is no way you are going to ticket drivers for visiting or passing thru. based on local equipment laws, unless it was a safety issue and even then it had better be life threatening. Bad for tourism (at least in FL).

Nice to hear that perspective from someone who knows. As I plan to take mine to every state I can, especially if there are badges to get there. And I have no plans to modify it for states I don’t reside in. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a dangerous vehicle for adjacent drivers, but it doesn’t have mud flaps and it certainly has some tire poke. My soap box is the front bumper. I insist on a full width on the road.
