Hurricane Creek and Goat Trail in Western NC. Started out with rain, then sun and then snow at about 3500'

It's not all that hard, more of an excursion set of trails but the mud made for some slick obstacles in a few areas.

Overall a great day in the woods.

Climbed a sand dune... well, really it was a pile of sand that is going to be used for a septic drainfield. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!

If you happen to be in TN around March 9th or 10th, I would let you cut something.

I've got to cut the frame, the exhaust, probably going to have to cut the Metalcloak rear sway bar reinforcement brackets I have on there because I'm thinking they are going to interfere with the new bumper mounts on the end of the frame. So plenty to cut. ?

Got some buddies coming that day to help me remove the OEM bed and have a BBQ. They will help through whatever we finish that day, but then I'm off that week to finish it up.
Cost for total paint/install at my favorite off-road shop (with a discount on labor even) was around $6K and I couldn't bring myself to pay that. I'm paying $1500 for powder coat and will do the rest of it with buddies or by myself if need be.

Hell yeah. I can’t wait for pictures. I no longer have a favorite off road shop. I’d rather make my own hands bleed and learn the thing better every time. Good for you. Sounds like a blast actually. Are you rigging up some sort of hitch, or is it becoming a dedicated trail rig?

It's headed toward trail rig, although it's still my daily for now. I'm losing legality in states other than TN left and right though. - Modified fenders that don't cover the tires, no mud flaps, modified exhaust, modified ride height/bumper height, with this next project - shortened frame. So eventually it will probably be a trailer queen just so that I can get to everywhere legally.

Yep, I realized that one when I was looking at the Easter Jeep Safari magazine, I was thinking of heading out there next year, now I don't know how much I want to chance it.
