One of your tires is likely out of round. Have them rotated again and move the fronts to the back and see if it improves. This can be mitigated if you can find a shop that will do tire shaving. I've had this happen a couple of times and a local shop has been able to correct it for me.
I used to run this exact same setup and never had any issues at 35psi. IMO the most important thing to remember in the sand is to go light on the skinny pedal and just keep the thing moving. Airing down will help but may not be necessary depending on how deep the sand is.
So I have some experience with this same issue and if you don't resolve it then DW is likely soon to follow. On my 3.6 2020 gladiator I initially installed a skyjacker 3.5" lift with a Fox TS stabilizer. I drove it for about 10k miles before the issues started. I went through the same stuff...
I installed the RR Arcus bumper on my gasser and the Smittybilt Stryker bumper on my diesel and they were both nightmares to do solo. The sub-frame, tow hooks & shell on both bumpers have to be assembled and bolted to the truck while holding the bumper in place. The Arcus is a better design...
No D60's, still stock sport axles. The wheels have a -44 offset that give them that look. Ive upgraded just about everything but the axles and i will likely truss/gusset these soon.
I haven't decided if I'm going to bite the bullet on axles since it's my DD. My plan will be to keep this...
The difference that you're referring to is related to lifting trucks with IFS. The lift components in the front of the truck push out the wheels but the solid axle in the rear does not, so that will require a spacer on the rear to even it out.
I appreciate that man! I understand that its not a look for everyone but it works for me the way I use it!! I will definitely look you up if I ever make it up that way. I love what you've done with your rig too btw - I see your posts on here and appreciate your measured responses.
That's pretty cool! I just Googled "Stompers"...i don't know how I missed those when I was a kid. I've never really been a name your Jeep kinda guy but that may make me change my mind.
Spent some time in Hochatown Ok with the fam last weekend. We rolled 5 deep in the Gladiator for a 6 hour drive. :CWL::headbang: Did some very mild trails on a rainy day and was finally able to try out the Apex Autolynx - they are super easy to use and work really well! It was really nice...
There are a number of threads discussing this very thing. You won't convince someone who spent $500-$600 on after market lights that this is a good option but then you can get these and take that $500 and spend it actually adding something to your truck. The cutoff is fine as well.
Great write-up! I have been eyeing these things since they first became available for the JL. I cant believe they've kept these at this price point with the way prices have gone up on everything else...I am going to go ahead and order these so that im not kicking myself in 3 months when they...
They made the sector shaft brace and the track bar reinforcement bracket in 2 pieces...I guess there's a market for them separately? The 1st Synergy offering didn't have an o-ring which allowed debris to get into the bearing. I believe they have corrected it with their 2nd gen. The steersmarts...
This happens every time I go through the car wash or a heavy rain. It appears to be coming from the area behind the door harness. I haven't been able to track it down yet.
Installed the Auxbeam 8-gang switch pod. It's a pretty simple install except for that there wasn't really anywhere ideal to mount the box/breaker under the hood and the fuse piggyback wire to power the system off of ACC was the wrong size. After I finally found a spot and improvised on the ACC...
Stock axles / Evo Enforcer Overland w/ King 2.5's. I daily drive it with beach cruisin' being my primary offroad activity. I do have a trip planned to the Hot Springs off road park next month.
