Do we have any examples of people measuring how much they drained when doing this job? That’s just a basic step for any fluid service but it seems to never be mentioned.
Come on guys, if you’re not actively throwing a 5-gallon bucket of gravel on your truck before each drive are you really even a JEEP owner!?!
Next thing you know someone will be asking about what automotive soap to use, as if vehicles were meant to be washed!!
(very…very thick sarcasm)
I've run the weathertechs since basically week 2 of ownership, so almost 3 years now. Front and rear, love em. The rear's are helpful in keeping slop from being thrown up inside the rear bumper (steel), if that's something that you care about. Otherwise running just fronts work. Also, for...
Honestly? Bumpers. Not cheap, no, but probably the easiest mod. A few bolts, unplug some connectors, then do it all in reverse. I think it actually took longer to install my mudflaps than it did to swap the front bumper 😆
I’d say it probably is, just unused. That’s how the aux wires look under the hood from the factory, with a little rubber cover. Probably an option that mounts in that area somewhere?
That oil is going somewhere. Per Jeep's standards - that amount of consumption is not cause for concern - BUT - knowing what we know about tolerances in modern engines I would take that as a sign that something isn't working as intended.
Check your PCV system, see if it's overly dirty, check...
At what speed? Hitting a hole like that is going to cause damage so it may not be the best example.
The passenger wheel doesn't hit that extra bracket due to bending in the axle, it's from the control arms crumpling allowing the tire to shift back in the overlap crash test. Someone had photos...
Gotcha. This might help with your decision: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/utilizing-the-fourth-wire-in-the-headlight-connection-on-gladiators-that-have-it.66700/
I would just find the closest light to your mounting point that comes on when you want the medallion light on and tap into that vs running back to the fuse box.
Most special editions are basically either a Willys with special stickers or a Sport S with special stickers and then whatever beverage/animal/land/plant/mythical creature themed bolt ons Jeep could find.
Wherever it is on one of those should be where it is on yours.
It's your load distribution. If the quad could roll forward that additional foot or so the weight would be more even and I bet the sag would go away. I've had 1000# of mulch in the bed before and all it did was ride level. (Willys, so same suspension as a sport S)
You can view your backup camera at anytime by tapping the icon on the radio screen. It's automatically there when in reverse, but you can bring it up while driving or sitting still too.
I may be wrong, but I think the radios are paired to a specific VIN. They can be unpaired (I.e. unlocked) but a lot of the take-offs that you find for sale are still paired to a specific vin so if you just hook it up and go it won’t work. I think it’s an anti-theft measure or something...
