Haven't seen it anywhere, so thought I'd ask the question. If you've had the cam/lifter failure, post your year and mileage here. So far I've only seen it on MY22 and older, curious if that's really the case or if it's also affecting the other years.
Have you checked the drain tube(s) that go down the A pillar(I think?)
Those can get clogged and then the water will force its way past the seals like youâre describing. Someone posted on here or the JL forum about it.
It's not that simple. The kits aren't an amalgamation of parts that get put together prior to shipping, such that they can just grab a couple springs and send to you. They probably get them sealed and ready to ship from whoever manufactures them. Meaning replacement parts need to go through a...
I had an '01 that did the same thing on the same side. Dana 44 rear (for those wondering why this is relevant). Pulled a right rear axle assembly off a junkyard WJ, popped it in, no leaks for another 10k miles when I sold it đ
I mean, if we want to get specific the current gladiator would classify as a half-ton truck. Yes the payload is BARELY a half-ton, but it's there. Tow 6k lbs, that's right up there with a mid 90's V6 C1500 chevy or F-150 (both of which had larger payloads, yes, but still).
Short answer -...
"That's right folks, we're bringing the manual back to the Gladiator. We've decided to retro-fit the 6-speed out of the previous generation Compass, we have no concerns about premature failure of any components."
Just make sure you have your brake controller, weight distributing hitch, max toe sticker, 2020 ownerâs manual, 2024 ownerâs manual, pdf printout from a random forum post in 2022, and map of every DOT weigh station between each of your destinations and youâll be good.
Unless you have a...
Do you need the extra amperage though? Sounds like the 240 amp was just failing and replacing it with another 240 amp that doesn't have such a short life would be the solution.
The firestone M/T's are/were the standard on the Willys but in (late?) 22-23 there were supply problems and lots of Willys' got BFG M/T''s. That's what my '23 came with, and yeah, at almost 21,000 miles they really sing on the highway but that's going to be true with any mud tire.
Thatâs what you agree to when you buy a vehicle.
You bought your vehicle, not your vehicle plus access to any parts your vehicle might need on other unsold vehicles.
Stuff breaks, it sucks đ€·ââïž
What you're proposing doesn't make sense.
If your truck needed a new passenger seat, but all passenger seats were backordered, the Jeep factory would not PAUSE PRODUCTION of ALL JT's to send one of their requisitioned seats to whatever dealer's maintenance department requested the seat. The...
Didn't read it all, easy answer - you can tow 6,000 lbs.
You MAY not have the bigger fan - okay, so watch your temps.
The ONLY THINGS that the "standard tow package" gets you is the class IV hitch (you have), the 240 amp alternator (you have), and the 850 W fan (unclear).
The motor, brakes...
I feel like there has to be a fuse you can cross or something to unlock it, since getting under the hood isnât an issue. Yeah, itâd set off the alarm, but youâd be able to instantly snag your key and turn it off.
Go through and recheck that everything is tight. Itâs probably either a loose bolt somewhere or one of your bushings just happened to reach its end of life right as you put it back together.
