  1. Gas still burping up when filling

It’s happened to me on several different vehicles. JKUR and Cobra. Thankfully not the JTM. I blame it partly on the pump but experience taught me to make sure that the nozzle points straight down so the gas doesn’t deflect off the sides. That seems to interfere with the shut off.
  2. Wiper cowl - has anybody painted theirs?

I treated it with a ceramic coating. I looks much more glossy in person. We'll see how long it lasts.
  3. How to disable emergency vehicle notification?

It may or may not be the case for OP that Waze is the culprit but Stellantis has bought into it. https://www.axios.com/2023/05/26/emergency-vehicle-warnings
  4. How to disable emergency vehicle notification?

Never seen either emergency vehicle or severe weather notification. I encounter fire trucks and ambulances very often. Wife’s Compass does show weather notifications Which I do find annoying. Update: Apparently, from other threads I've read, EVA notifications may be included in the Travel Link...
  5. 2024 Gladiator Mojave

Only way to handle it. Nice looking truck.
  6. 2024 Gladiator Mojave

I may be wrong but it looks like you're shopping at the same dealer where I bought my 2023 JTM in January. If you want, I'll PM the name. They do pile on the dealer extras but I managed to get several deleted. They add a GPS tracker (StarGard) to all the vehicles for inventory control and then...
  7. Favorites on 8.4 Sirius

    Thanks
  8. Favorites on 8.4 Sirius

Yeah. My wife's Compass has the same limit 50 total. The JK was much better. I'm slowly deleting songs and replacing with artists. At least you can ignore songs you don't want to listen to.
  9. Favorites on 8.4 Sirius

Reviving an old thread. I'm trying to find out the maximum number of favorites allowable in the 8.4. I have a 2023 JTM and it's a crap shoot trying to guess if I've maxed out. My2016 JKUR was very clear; 50 songs and 50 artists. I checked the radion manual and got nowhere. Also had a favorite...
  10. Accelerator pedal "play"?

I checked on my drive today. From a dead stop I can sense some minor play but dang if I can tell 1/4" from 1/8" or 1/2". Just know it's consistently the same. The truck accelerates nicely and the front lifts some. Nothing that concerns me and a whole lot better than my 2016 JKUR. The only lag I...
  11. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I bought five of those Husky bins and stacked them on a furniture dolly. They're interlocking. Moveable storage in my garage.
  12. To buy now or wait until end of the year

$16000 discount is what I got when I bought my ā€˜23 JTM in January when the’24’s were already onthe lots. You can roll the dice but what if someone else takes it? What I went after was dealer add ons. I got them to delete Star Gard tracking and one other for $2000 more. You won’t leave much on...
  13. Gladiator Friendly Windshield Shade?

I went with Teraflex because I had an earlier version for my ā€˜16 JKUR that lasted over 5 years. So much for reputation.
  14. Gladiator Friendly Windshield Shade?

Pass the salt and pepper while I eat my words. The Teraflex failed after six months. Total garbage. Consisted of a bubble wrap outter coating with the logo printed on the inside and the reflective coating faces the interior. I went with a no name cheapo that was recommended by another forum...
  15. US investigating 781K Jeeps over underhood fire reports (Wrangler & Gladiator) -- power steering pump electrical connector issue

From what I've read here there's always voltage present at the motor terminals but there won't be any heat generated unless the pump is running. Questions I would have are: What is the temperature rating of the wire insulation? Does the cable assembly rub on anything from vibration that would...
  16. US investigating 781K Jeeps over underhood fire reports (Wrangler & Gladiator) -- power steering pump electrical connector issue

You cannot go by NEC ampacity for automotive installations. See attached chart for SAE application. While I don’t agree with it (I’m a EE with 50+ years power plant and refinery design under my belt) that’s what auto makers are using. #8 is good for 150 A up to 300 cm (10 feet) for 12V...
  17. Fuel impacting motor wear

The link didn’t work for me but as for the title I assume it doesn’t refer to premium as in high octane but the term ā€œTop Tierā€. The owners manual usually refers to top tier somewhere. Top Tier is an industry standard for detergent additives. https://www.toptiergas.com/gasoline-brands/ I worked...
  18. Lug nuts for stock wheels

I bought a set of lug nuts for Gorilla my JK from Quadratec but I don't see them available for the JT. Might try McGard of Lynx
