Got the boards with steps for a lil over 600 shipped. I did bed liner coating option. Lil more than base, but well worth it. Still need to put the drop steps on, but with 3.5 rc lift and 37s, it really helped get in alot easier than literally hopping in.
I figure just having a set as "just in case". Also have a tow/recovery strap for good measure. Waiting for upper decker and tent to come in, then plan on overlanding and exploring more of FL and into GA and the Carolinas. But there's also a couple of places in my county where conditions will...
Kinda my thoughts too. The set with jack base also has option to get with hi lift jack for $168, but the reviews on their brand jack aren't that great. I was thinking going with the smittybilt jack if I do. Also wondering if anyone has had experience with either style i posted, or opinions on...
I also feel the OE horns are pretty good. Stand in front of ur grill and lock ur doors via fob. Always scare the $#!+ outta me when I get home. Even from 10' away. But this could also be that it bounces off my metal garage door too...
Guess ill join the club...
1. Max Tow, stock, at moms property.
2. OE AT not up to task
3. 37x12.5r17 Patagonia should do the trick
4. Then RC 3.5 spacer lift
5. Go rhino rb20 running boards
6+... pig playing in mud then car wash
Yeah, had the mud/water over the fenders temporarily and almost...
Wide open throttle lol. I like to do it on the on ramps for highways. Or wait till ur on open street h of road. Just gun it for 20-40 mph or till u get to speed.
Likely still in break in. Give it a couple of WOT pulls to really seat the rings. On my max tow, wasn't till after 800 miles I started to see normalcy. Then at 1200 I put on 3.5 lift and 37x12.5 mt on. Lost about 2 mpg from 18-19 average. 70+ mph kills it regardless. Also saw slightly better mpg...
leased mine in May. 44k, 42 month, 3k down for out the door 363/mth with us bank. Credit score over 760. Buying wouldve been cheaper with employee pricing (38k) but monthly for 5 yrs was wack. Might keep or trade up after lease for the diesel or personally build. Loving it tho, so far.
Newer engines these days are being build to higher tolorances. Going to a thicker viscosity will actually do more harm or stress the internals more. For those who don't understand - example, piston wall clearance being tighter to cylinder wall.
As well as some points mentioned in Bob oil guy...
Track width is what i assume ur talking about. As stated by someone else, typically front will be a tad wider for the reason mentioned. But here are specs from Jeep. Sport vs sport s max tow.
(Feel free to use this thread to ask any other ?s relating to the topic)
There's a lot of cheap, and few expensive, options. Best of the best, by my understanding, are MaxTrax. Personally, dont want to spend $300+ on a pair. (I kno, I kno, u get what u pay for. But I've almost always been able...
Anyone else running 37s, but had to calibrate speedo to 35.25 to get accurate reading? Tires on truck measured about 36.5 top to bottom across center cap.i kno it'll skew odo and mpg readout, but is this normal with anyone else?
Read that part, still has me scratching my head... wonder if it was just for accidental "e overdose" so u don't kill the motor right away. Kudos on ur research.
as for e85 debate, if it didn't come from factory, its not fully/properly equipped to run it. Its parts and obviously a tune. Just cuz it can run e10, doesn't mean it can run e15 ,e20, or e85. Unless certain fueling, and sometimes pistons/rings, are changed out. A ffv vehicle is typically 1-2k...
I haven't kept up much with gm, but I'm pretty sure the LT came first, then the LS. If they redesignated the LT, then that's new, and kinda foolish, to me.
