37" (12.5" wide) Cooper SST Pro with Dirty Life DT-1 wheels. The tire is about 83-84 pounds by itself.
Stock Rubicon Wheel and Falken AT tires were 86 lbs:
This is me right now. 124 lbs of tire and wheel at each corner and the stocker doesnāt really cut it. Just waiting for it to come in from back order.
I believe the track bar and drag link should ideally be at the same angle and close to the same length. I would imagine with that lift you would want adjustable control arms or geometry correction brackets (if they are made for a JK). Are you using the same tires when 'returning to stock'...
The problem is that everyone calls any small shimmy death wobble. There's a huge thread over on the JL forum about "death wobble" which is not in any way talking about real death wobble. Over the years, the term "death wobble" has been misconstrued as any unsteadiness in the steering wheel...
Donāt know about that but I built the way- a -life door hanger setup. Buying regular length 2x4ās and cutting them down was cheaper than buying the precut pieces he references. All depends on what tools you have access to. I built 2 of them for less than $20 and they work great.
FWIW I have less than $75 in my JSCAN setup (adapter, cable, and license). It may or may not do everything but Iāve fixed my tail light config, set new tire size, and adjusted TPMS psi setting without issue.
While I have generally had a positive experience with Quadratec this is part of the reason Iāve ordered multiple times from Northridge. When they say itās in stock, it really is. They ship things out right away too.
I've anecdotally heard of this along with shaving the new tire down to the existing tread depth. I have 5 tires and wheels and do 5 tire rotations. If I had to replace one I would probably find a shop to shave it down to match the others.
But I'm on your side with this one. If I had 30K...
I think this is the idea right here but in the sense that a full EV would probably do 90% of the driving for most people and thatās the group that manufacturers will cater to. Iād love to know the solution for that 10% of driving we do though. Someone else had brought up the small displacement...
Must be the āget off my lawnā in me but Iām kind of glad I donāt get all the waves. There are so many Wranglers out here in the Phoenix area Iād be waving every other car.
I know there is the whole thing about the Jeep wave and back when I had my YJ years ago it was nice because Jeeps just...
Hm, maybe I should reach out as well. The other thing that got me was the buckle on the second set of straps from the front doesnāt lay flat against the roll bar like all the others. It sticks out at an angle from the top edge.
Mine was the same way. I started from the front and worked my way back and that helped and I was able to get all the cross rails in.
So I first tucked the front flap in, then did the first cross bar back to the sound bar and got those tight. Then I moved backwards from there.
A lot of pedestrian accidents happen on 4 lane residential streets (2 lanes of traffic each way). Imagine a crosswalk across such a road with a marked sign that says yield to pedestrians in crosswalk. A car in the right lane stops to let a pedestrian cross the crosswalk. An approaching car in...
Sounds almost exactly like my situation. I was ready to get the Clayton 3.5" overland plus then came across someone selling a brand new Mopar 2" lift on Facebook for $700. Snatched it up and went that route instead. Used the money saved to splurge a bit more on wheels/tires.
