JKS lift (JSpec shocks), JKS front LCAs, and install for $1800. Fuel wheels and Toyo 35s mounted/balanced/TPMS/etc. was $2200.
Was your quote through a stealership?? Which lift was quoted? Did you know what you were asking for or did they see you as an ill informed sucker?
I’m not much of an off-roader anymore now that I have a little one. I keep jumper cables, a large MagLite, ratchet straps (for stuff in the bed), a tow strap, and a machete style knife (for zombies) under the driver’s side portion of the rear seat. The rest of the rear storage area is for groceries.
I only wanted a cover to protect luggage and s**t in the bed when traveling. Otherwise I leave it rolled up to the front. Never had issues with stuff blowing into the cab.
Can you? Yes. Should you? You just answered that question. I’m not a fan of ballooning out the tires and wearing them oddly just to save some $$. If I was going to keep factory tires I would go with a 35x11.5 tire.
Measure the width of the camera and then make sure your new fancy grille has wide enough openings for it to fit. If not, it’s nothing some zip ties and duct tape won’t fix.
I’m in the same boat. I noticed less than stellar steering when I first purchased, but since a lift and 12.5 wide 35s it is a little tighter. More resistance I suppose. There is a little bit of a dead spot, but I’m not sure I want to get it “fixed”. I read about folks having issues with low...
Goodness that’s a whole lotta white!
I didn’t like the factory ride, so I went with a complete kit that made it more firm and handle better IMO. I would imagine that the Mopar lift would probably keep the ride as close to factory ride as anything.
Agree. We have the Jeep for “fun”/utility (my daily) and a Durango for a nice comfy family ride. However, we took the Jeep on a 6 hour trip to FL and it wasn’t all that bad. It wasn’t quiet and an ideal highway driver, but when we got to FL it was nice to take the Freedom Panels off and cruise...
