The QDs don’t look much worse than the metal around them. Florida is rough on cars. Mine have been on a year in North GA and appear to be wearing the same as the surrounding metal. I wouldn’t say the JKS parts are any less quality than everything else under the Jeep.
From what I have gathered off of the steering box TSB thread there are a few points of aggravation that have kept me from getting the work done. In no particular order:
1. Dealing with the stealership when they want to blame your lift kit, tires, it’s a Jeep thing, etc. I know that is with any...
I do. I have been hesitant making the swap due to all of the issues people post about after having it done. I’m probably going to suck it up and take it in though. I guess I can’t complain if I don’t take the steps to try and fix it.
The only thing I agree with in the review is the steering issues. It didn’t bother me at first, but after 10K miles it’s starting to wear on my patience. I had a 2-door JK and it didn’t wander or have as much play in the steering as the JT. It was horrific on our last 8hr trip to FL. I could...
I remember the days when you’d get a wave from everyone on the road where I live. Not like that anymore. Everyone is too busy on the phone or in too much of a hurry to worry about things like a simple wave.
I don’t believe that whole “covered under warranty” BS. That’s a line of nonsense they sell to folks. A Line-X bed liner warranty is covered by Line-X. That’s probably who they send it to and charge you more than Line-X charges them. The bed cover itself should have a warranty on it. If not...
Do it yourself and save the money. You’ll probably save money buying the parts from somewhere other than the dealer as well. Unless the dealer will price match what you can buy online for cheaper I wouldn’t buy anything from them. Stealership safe in the business of making loads of money from...
If I were you I would attach the boat without the lift and see how much sag you have. If the truck is level I wouldn’t add any spacers. I can’t speak for the spring rates of the MOPAR kit, but I can only imagine they’re close to or the same as factory rates. Meaning same amount of sag as current...
I’ve been in fog so thick that low beams blind you. The only thing I could do to see any part of the road was to turn the headlights off and fog lights on.
I guess I’ll ask a question as an answer. Do you drive in fog? If the answer is “no” then go for it.
