Ha... at the moment it's only useful to see a hill breach, not a tire path. The plan is to move it to the center of that bar if I can do that and it not look too bad. Otherwise, the bar wasn't that expensive so I may remove the hoop and move the two LP6 lights back to where that bar connects.

You can do the chalk test and see where you are getting the best wear for your specific tire and rim width. At this pressure I'm evenly wearing the tire across instead of just in the middle which I am more at 35. Not to mention it rides and steers (tracks) so much better at this pressure level.
So I've noticed with both my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon and my 2019 JL Rubicon that it seems to be very sensitive to temperature. In the summer when it's hot I can get around 16-17 MPG. Now that it's turned cold, I'm getting about 14 MPG. Both act the same way. I've been using only real non-ethanol...
It does but it's not too terribly bad. It's easy to take off and re-arrange so if I decide later I don't like it, I can remove the hoop and move the lights back the way I originally had them. There is a local mfg company here that does a lot of offroad parts and I'm trying to see if they will...
Those are indeed the Baja LP6 Pros. I love these lights. They are extremely bright and I run the amber backlights all the time.
Looking at my invoice it says the hoop is a rugged ridge but that doesn't look like the RR one. I think they put that on there by mistake. It should be the Warn grill...
I have the new smooth Diamondback HD cover and I love it. This is my second one. The previous one was on my Raptor. They are outstanding quality. I use the HD ones because the metal is thicker and add very little weight to the vehicle. It also makes a great platform to walk on for doing...
That's interesting. I haven't noticed any real noise coming from the vehicle to the radio. Just some very mild ignition ticks that the noise blanker is masking nicely.
Only thing I can stress is grounding. Power for my radios come via 6 awg marine cable directly from the battery. Positive is...
I have a similar setup to yours including my favorite radio, the ICOM 7000. I mounted the radios under the rear seat with a minimal clutter up front. I am running a Tarheel screwdriver antenna with short mast on my Gladiator, and I ran a 3 foot mast Tarheel on my JK Rubicon. The only time I have...
Those squares on the back of the cab are cabin vents. When you slam your door shut or your vehicle sits in the hot sun, the expanding or sudden air pressure escapes through those. Those flaps pop up quickly with very little pressure.
I have ran wire through these in my Raptor pickup because of...
Just an update in case it helps someone. With the help of a friend on the logic, I was able to eliminate one of the relays and simplify the design a bit and still do everything I wanted.
Looking for some feedback since you guys are smarter than I am. My goal was to wire up my two BD LP6 lights in such a way that the following is true:
1) When the headlights come one, the backlit amber of the LP6's come on. So that's a backlight trigger.
2) When I turn my brights on, I want to...
I'm struggling with trying to decide on this right now. Really great information. I'm trying to decide if the Warn hoop has enough clearance for my Baja LP6 Pros under it, or go with the Mopar grille guard and mount them on top. Looks vs retention of trail cam useability.
So here's a question...
I have the Thinkware U1000 4K dual channel. It's not inexpensive, but probably has the best security/parking mode. You can get a "radar" module for it that only uses a fraction of the power when parked, and wakes the camera up when something gets close and starts recording. You could probably...
I am considering adding on the LP6 Pros as well and had some similar thoughts. I'll have to think about how I want it to work and look still. My thoughts were that I could wire in the low beams on the LP6 to come on with my headlight high-beams, and wire the high output of the LP6 to #1 aux...
I also thought about mounting the radios to the underside of the rear seat. That would get them about 6 inches off the floor of the vehicle if it took on a mild amount of water. With 3 inches of lift and 37's I would hope I don't end up in deep enough water to flood the cab to that amount but I...
Ha... I absolutely thought about this! I am rolling the dice a bit with the radio mounted low. My alternate location is behind the rear seats on the cab back wall. There appears to be enough room there but I would need to remove the seats to get at it properly. I did leave myself enough length...
I just ran through the plastic plug that's in the bed, straight down then into the cab under the passenger side rear seat through a drain plug in the floor. Could not have been more convenient since the radios are both located there under the passenger side rear seat as well. I had ran the power...
Just a couple more pics as an update. My radio is an ICOM 7000 which I absolutely love. Best detached display on any radio I've ever seen. I'm really going to be sad when that one quits working.
Inside front lid where I've mounted NMO (closest) and the HF at the farthest. That's a choke on the...
