Anyplace inside (out of the sun and weather) is good. I made the mistake of leaving a stock set outside for a few years while a "made space" in the garage. Sun is one of the worse things for rubber. They may racks to hang on the wall if you don't have floor space.

I think it has something to do with manufacturing or shipping. From all that I have read, it is fine to cut off. In fact the instructions that came with my LOD rock rails said to do do. I used an angle grinder with a metal cut off wheel. Make sure you paint the bare metal afterwards.
Nice Jeep! I love those wheels. And the Wildpeaks (in my opinion) are great all-around tires that can do some decent trail work as well.
I'll let the more technical experts on this forum weigh in on which locker(s), what goes with what, gear set, pinions, splines, axles, etc. But I will...
My front AEV (boot) links that came with the 2" spacer lift wore out after less than a year (rears are not looking that great either). Disappointed to say the least. I tried sourcing the Mopar links used for their 2" lift and they were out of stock everywhere I looked. I found Clayton front...
I chose the Mojave just so I could say I own a Mojave, but pronounce the "j" as a "j" and not as an "h" everytime someone asks just to embarass my wife. Like when I order "fajitas" in a restaurant :) She really can't take me anywhere...
That looks great! I agree, nothing to worry about in terms of stress. And 1 mm offset is just fine in terms of looks and room for 35" tires. The wide track axles on your mojave give you a little more room to work with. I've got the same model and run +25mm offset AEV (Borah) wheels with 35"...
Re-torquing is where I would start. I had a similar noise in my front end (wasn't in an accident but had added a lift at one point). Spent a few hours tightening and the noise went away. There were several bolts that I was able to add a few turns to. Sounds like maybe when they put things...
That's why the Mojave is so great! 2.72 transfer case in 4-low allows you to go a good clip faster than the 4:1 ratio in the Rubicon. Excellent if you need the extra grunt of 4-low but want to also have some speed. I don't think 4-high gives you any mechanical multiplication of power like...
You are in a tough spot for sure. If the bolt is spinning, that suggests that the nut (which is spot welded to the frame?) may have broken loose. Can you push the bolt up/in thereby taking up the slack as you do? Maybe a good rap from a small sledge will help if it is hanging on a bit. If...
I am having the same issue with the front end link boots. I remember when I put them on thinking they didn't give off the vibe as being as nice as the OEM ones I took off. Upgrading to Clayton links soon. Expensive, put they look solid. You have to cut to size, but that allows you to...
I've had some experience with several tires on a few trucks (2003 F150, 2016 F150, 2020 Tundra) and jeeps (2014 JK, 2017 JK, 2021 JT) over the years, so I'll offer my observations. I think I am in the same boat as you.
I am not a hardcore off-roader, but want to be able to confidently travel...
I would also look closely at what the buy-out number is on the lease as compared to what you could get for the same money if you simply walked away from it and then looked to see what you could buy you on the open market. My (basic) understanding of leases is your monthy payment is all about...
Jeeps are quite capable "out of the box". I think the lift and the bigger/AT type tires you have will build on that and are the first thing I would recommend to increase off-road capability. You will be amazed at what you will be able to do. I would drive it for a while and see how you like...
On long road trips, the killer for tires is heat build up due to underinflation. Not saying you should run max 80 psi, though! I think starting out with a cold psi in the upper 30's would put you in the low 40s psi range when things heated up. That's what I run on my 35s.
I didn't have as many codes, but this looks similar to the gremlins I was having. High voltage codes, bells, and warning lights (weird stuff like traction control not available, etc.). With a check engine light once it finally fired up. Ended up being a bad Aux battery. Barely 2-years old...
I have the AEV 2" spacer lift on my Mojave. Anytime you add lift, the axles will shift a bit to one side. The more the lift, the more the shift. I'd say 2" is right about the point where you may start to notice it if you look closely. I didn't need an adjustable track bar in the back. But I...
